Eonian is a masterpiece. I had to give it many listens but now I truly feel this is the defining work of symphonic black metal. And for people at a certain stage in their journey the lyrics are full of value.

Really, truly beyond excited for this album. As a long time fan since the 90's, I am excited to really hear how the band has evolved and look forward to the changes to the sound, but I am also nostalgic and hoping for that classic Dimmu bite. Hails \m/

holy shit, les paul and a fuller sound? these guys definitely matured past the edgy teen bs of having the thinnest shittiest production just to scare people. I respect these guys alot for the way they have evolved. Even if their music now scares away true black metal fans.

I just hate that they lost the guitar riff intensity and complexity, and the virtuosic aggressive Groove they always achieved... I listened to the new CradleOfFilth (the most similar music type to DB) and the musicianship is off the damn charts... Idk I guess we all evolve for whatever reason, but Galder is one of the best riffers ever, like a blackened Hetfield... He is being held back... Listen to Old Mans Child, thats what his inner self is like ~

Me parece un álbum bueno,y me refiero más que nada al sonido que consiguieron,a nivel composicion y canciones me parece un álbum común,nada de otro mundo y me parece que esa parte quedó corta sobre todo después de estar tanto tiempo sin grabar absolutamente nada...me pareció un disco bueno (8 puntos) pero no me sorprendió ni me volo la cabeza como en su momento el Puritanical o cuando sacaron el Death Cult...ojala saquen un disco mejor la próxima vez y la corten un poco con esas bandas paralelas horribles que tienen (la peor es la de shagrath) y le dediquen más energía a Dimmu Borgir...

He was talking about how the producer, Jens Borgen, was making their drummer, Daray, do all kind of takes and the screamed I can’t feel me body......But I thought it was hilarious that Shagrath refers to their drummer as “the Daray”.
