the hype that was in the chat during the live stream was one of my greatest joys in my life. the moment where ding put himself in a pin, being down on time, after all the WCC where he was ether down or tie is basically saying "I'm here to win and I'm not scared!", such a strong will. the chat went bananas. the 'monster' went bananas and even jerry went bananas! the hype train in twitch did not stop going reaching level 9! truly one of the best moments in chessnetwork history and chess history as well! just shows you how a simple game as chess can unite entire nations together in a simple way. thank you jerry for a lovely commentating for the entire WCC!

Ding must be thanking Magnus. He wouldn't even be competing here if Magnus didn't give up his title. We can say for sure now that Nepo is just never going to be a world champion. He is missing something, which I can't quite put my finger on. Ding Liren is now currently the second best chess player in the world, so kudos to him. It was a fun series, a blunderous one for sure, but in all honesty, I think we could all feel the absence of Carlsen from this event. It's just that when he plays, it feels different, it feels like you are actually watching something magical. Nepo vs Ding felt a bit short of the two best guys competing, and that reflected a lot with the back and forth decisive games that these guys had. Of course, many thanks to Jerry for his, once again, amazing coverage of the event on his stream and his best quality of analysis after the games. It's not truly a WCC match unless Jerry covers it.

Thrilling from the first to the last move on the board, it had everything: comebacks, unusual openings, dumb questions in press conferences, brilliancies, player losing in time, pieces falling off the table, victories as black and white, khazakstan land of Borat, etc

Thank you very much for your excellent analyses of the games. In particular, I find it very instructive when you use a specific situation to illustrate a more general idea which one might be able to use in one's own games. For example, during the final Rapid game you pointed out that it can be good to open up the position when your opponent has a badly place piece (Nepomniachtchi's bishop on b1). Thanks again.

Incredible match and wonderful quote by Ding at the end. Nice work as always on these videos. Really shocking but also sort of expected how it came down to such a decisive last game. I was pulling for Ding since earlier in the match when he was the underdog and after seeing a few missed wins around game 7 and 8. Ian played strong out of the gate but in the end choked in the last game. Really felt like a close battle the whole time, a lot of previous matches with Carlsen felt like a foregone conclusion earlier on, but this one was a real nail biter. Great play by both players who felt very equally matched, congratulations to Ding who managed to last out the battle of nerves in the end.

Credit to Magnus for making this possible. What he did was rly good for chess, giving us this epic WCC where the underdog won. Maybe Magnus is just a total genius on another level. He could even come back in 2 years and face Ding in the next WCC which will be much more exciting than any Nepo rematch imo. I will say Ding fully deserved the win, and i am biased because i wanted him to win since 2020 Candidates. Human factors are 100% part of chess and Ding had the better nerves for most of the match. Chess is a game where you can be playing better than your opponent, but then one blunder and it's all thrown away. That's just the nature of the game. Nepo doesn't seem to learn his lesson that if you blitz a move, you implode. And Ding did outplay him in many games. And the final tie-break game, he finally beat him at his own game, e4 e5 Ruy Lopez...as black! 100% fully deserves the title.

@benglista666 Год назад
@@Mitch2009 i see, so it's a little unintuitive cause they're kinda judging different things--the zero "inaccuracies" is by the standard of human comprehension finding a good enough move, while the "accuracy" percentage is relative to the perfection of an engine
@colinjava8447
@colinjava8447 Год назад
If you played the perfect move each time, I guess in theory your average centipawn loss should be 0. So the moves that aren't inaccuracies/mistakes/blunders will be good moves but not necessarily perfect leading to a non-zero average centipawn loss. I'm not sure if the average centipawn loss is used in the formula to calculate the accuracy, but still, if the average centipawn loss is non-zero, you can't be playing perfect chess, so the accuracy should be less than 100%. Or to put it another way, if you get less than 100% accuracy, but no inaccuracies/mistakes/blunders then you are making small imperfections that aren't big enough to count as inaccuracies.
