I'll say it again for the people in the back: Every video that came before Warriors including Warriors has been already watched. I'm watching and reacting to them solely because you guys want lore breakdowns... So like I said in my previous video the reactions are not going to be FRESH but I will enjoy them none the less :)
I just wanna say thank you for talking LoL lore. I love story and you're the ONLY person who's talking about it who shows that level of enthusiasm. Love it love it love it
A lot of people miss this tiny detail. At 9:02, Garen isn't looking at Sylas, he looks at Lux with a worried expression, wondering what she's going to do. Will she help him, revealing her mage powers to everyone in Demacia, or will she conceal her powers, and helplessly watch as Sylas kills Garen? The facial expressions in this cinematic speak so much.
@@BestoFriendoCassidy when lux picked her staff everyone looked at her, watch it on slow motion, you can see how the soldiers and mages around her were surprised She summoned Galio and technically she saved them so I guess they respect her or even fear her, I mean, not everyday someone awakes Galio you know
@@egfu2393 Potentially. But I kinda favour the idea that a detachment would know of Lux's powers because the Vanguard would surely turn on them either way. Its bred into them that magic is bad, a horrible and monstrous thing. When really, they fear what they dont truly understand. But either way!
I actually think the contrary. I think they know about lux and maybe even Galio. The reason why I say this is because Lux clearly knows how to call Galio. She didn't miss her skill, she used magic because it's the only way for Galio to move. Galio is like a legend to demacians and they just witnessed a Crownguard use magic and Galio making an appearance, yet they're not surprised. Quite the contrary, they get ready to fight. Idk if they did this to make the cinematic cooler or if maybe a small group of demacians led by Garen know about Lux and Galio.
7:25 I haven't seen anyone mention this, so I'll say it. Cait "missed" on purpose. You can see in her shooting scenes she's always trying to take out the grunts non-lethally. So, yeah, if she wanted to she could have gotten a headshot but she was hoping he'd collapse before he unleashed Urgot. Further evidence is when she shoots Urgot's leg instead of again, going for a headshot.
@@DinkaKay Xerath is just my beautiful son whom I love endlessly and wait for his teased by writers redemption. Azir on the other hand... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)✍🏻 mmm~ HÖT and pretty, god damn! Ya seen these thights?
The thing about Sylas is that he knows how to absorb the magic inside the Petricite, so when he has contact with Garen (the greatest champion of Demacia, who has fight lots of mages) he absorb all that magic and that makes him stronger. Another example is when he defeat Jarvan in the comic, using the magic inside the castle's walls. And now a joke: Jarvan III: I think the mages are not that bad as we thought, It's time to make a step foward and stop hunt mages. Sylas: O Boi, what a great day to remaind demacians why they are afraid of mages.
I like to believe that the Crownguards actually do legitimately have magic in their bloodline. Sylas already knows about the magic in the weaponry and armor of Demacia, but he was initially very surprised be how much he power he got after blocking Garen. Thematically it'd be a good arc for Demacia, when their posterboy actually has magic.
Just some small corrections: The prison is in Piltover, not in Zaun, that's why Vi and Caitlyn are defending it, also Urgot's cult came to Piltover to break him out; I don't think that Garen's sword is magical, I think that it's made out of petricite steel and he absorbed some magic while fighting other mages, but I like to think it's magical, it has a better plot twist that way; The staff that Lux picks up at the end isn't her own staff, you can see that it's design is completely diffrent from the one in her comic, the way that staffs work in LoL lore is that they are just used to amplify mage's power and help them direct it. Hope that helps 😊
MY GOD I LOVE your reacts, the way you speak about the lore, and the way you KNOW so much about the lore is just so freaking cool. You are so... friend-ish in your vids, I love it
I love your videos just because 2 things - 1) Honest reactions 2) You are someone not just to know champions but also knowlege of lore is amazing I could always learn something new from your videos. I hate when i watch reactions from people who don't know even names of champs. Keep going with awesome work!
Lux and Galio are actually friends, Galio gave her the confidence and made her feel special when her mother tried to get rid of her magic in the Flesh and Stone story. “I am not afflicted!” Lux cried out. “I am beautiful and valuable, and one day I will prove it to this kingdom! And if anyone has a problem with me, I’ve got a very large friend they can talk to.”
@@Vincentpanh i mean if you were born special, why would you let someone take that away from you? you have to fight for it and use every advantage youve got down your sleeve
Except George Washington didn't murder all. He killed soldiers, but as far as I know, he didn't stop convoys killing both civilians and military personal, execution style and didn't teach children to fight his wars.
I already watched some of your vids and i love the analysis, you are following the one true nation and you know the lore better than most others. Had to subscribe to see the videos coming in the future. Into battle for our lord and saviour Darius.
Something interesting, the temple in shurima is not just a "trap" to kill anyone who takes the tear of the goddess artifact but its also a direct portal to the void, Runeterra's biggest threat. It was probably a dormant portal that was closed during the void wars in shurima and a temple with the tear of the goddess was placed there to keep it shut and well...ezreal fked it up xD
08:38 Dinka talks about Sylas and Garen's magic sword, in 06:08 you can see the "magic" (yellow dusty thing flowing from the sword to Sylas shackles) being absorved by Sylas, that level of detail blows my mind
I love your videos!! The way you cover the lore is so cool and it shows your love for it. In the begining of the Garen and Sylas fight, you can see the shackles absorbing the magic from Garen's sword, it's a really cool detail. Also the staff tha Lux uses does not look like her staff from the comics. I personally think she jus uses one from the mages of the winterclaw. Greetins from Chile.
1. Then why does she not have her original staff around her? Or any kind of weapon. 2: This is a battlefield. There is no time to wonder about things, cause if you get distracted, you could die. Demacian elite soldiers probably got teached that. And slight possiblity that galio is known at least to the soldiers, but not to the standard demacian population.
Cait was actually purposefully aiming at the goons' metal platings as to not kill any of them I think. Because you know, she's the good cop to Vi's "I'll cave your face in!"-cop.
Now hold up one second. Garen's sword is not *magical* itself. It absorbs magic that it encounters while Garen is fighting magic wielders, but the sword isn't innately magical and Garen isn't using magic to defeat mages, only to disarm them. Unless he's using his ultimate ability, which doesn't summon a wholy sword through magic. It sends a plea to the Aspect of Justice, which currently *is* Kayle. She then uses her divine magic, that the Demacians are treating differently than any other magic, to smite the target. Note that Kayle's "E" and Garen's Ult are the exact same event. When Garen ults, Kayle E-s.
@@DinkaKay That's because there is no 'justice'. Demacian justice is a hypocritical concept, seen as though it cannot be summon by any poor soul in the dire hour to smite evil, only by high Demacians to smite the that which is *evil* towards Demacia. Kayle is a flawed vessel of the aspect. Even though I'm a huge Kayle simp, I can't be lying to myself in saying that she's righteous. There needs to be more clarification and more depth given to Kayle and Morgana, and the entire Aspect of Justice too. I bet you that once Kayle and Morgana are going to be added to Legends of Runeterra, there's gonna be a lot more content for them, with the likes of cinematics and new stories on universe.
About Garen's sword using magic... I noticed that at 6:13 when Sylas was blocking Garen, the things that he has were like absorbing something from Garen's sword, I guest magic 😕
Garen knew he couldn't beat Sylas. Not because he's not skilled, but because Sylas had the fighting skill AND magic to use against Garen's more melee only assault. Garen knew he still had to give it what he had to protect his sister and I believe it's when he looks back at her that he realizes she's going to give away that she's a mage. Obviously she doesn't want her brother killed. What I always loved about this is that despite Demacians hating mages (Which may or may not be justified a bit), they don't look at Lux with disgust. They all rally behind her without any hesitation
OMG. Your videos are just A-mazing. Im not aware of league of legends lore, I just started to play Legends of Runeterra and Im learning a lot with your highlights. Congrats and keep being marvelous. #DemaciaSucks
Garen's Sword is made of petricite, so magic that Sylas absorbed from it doesn's accually comes out of that sword, but the mages that Garen killed with it. Sylas learned to use petricite like extension to drain other's magic with it But it is anyway ironic, that in some way Demacians have absorbed magic in their armour and weapons (AND GALIO BTW) that they carry into all battles as Swain says
And i dont think that Galio comes allive just because he's made out of petricite, other things made out of it doesn't just gain consciousness, So there have to be something more about Galio
I wish and hope you have some ifos about sona... Her origin. I've been searching for her secrets. The very root of her magic. Her connection to her etwahl. Her new color lore was added. That helped me a lot to have more info about her. Pls i've been watching your vids. And i know you have a lot of knowledge about the canon runeterra and almost all the comics and lore. Keep making such wonderful videos. Love you miss dinka💙🖤
Your Alice reference reminded me that I have that game in my Steam library, that game is so captivating and haunting - haven't felt the longing to play a game in ages, binged the game over 20 hours (slow play). I'm sure you know a prequel, Alice Asylum is in development. Cheers for the content!
Irony? My personal theory is that Sylas’ revolt will succeed in changing Demacia, but it will be Garen that brings it about. By revealing Lux as a mage, it’s forced Garen to re-evaluate all the things he’s been told throughout his life and military career. Note how none of the soldiers seemed surprised about Galio or Lux. It’s possible Garen is building his own group/faction of people who are pro-mage (or at least anti-mageseeker). This could also explain why they were stationed out in the middle of BF nowhere on the Freljordian border. And why does everybody think Garen is super chunky? He’s wearing WoW style football pad armor. Everybody looks thick wearing that shit.
Garen has no power, the head of the Crownguards is Tiana. The only one who might be able to bring change is Jarvan.. But he'll have to do some "Noxian cleansing" cuz right now the corruption in Damacia is eating at it's core and he has no power.
Crownguard or not, Garen is a hero in his own right and a captain in the Dauntless Vanguard, so he does have a certain amount of influence. Plus he’s J4’s bro and could influence J4 into stopping these anti-magic policies, which is another reason to get him as far away from J4 as possible. This is all probably part of whoever killed J3s (LeBlanc?) plan to destabilize and weaken Demacia from the inside.
In the comic, Sylas was going to kill him (in public, as an example), but J3 was dead when he got to the royal quarters. J4 blamed Sylas, but neither Sylas or his people ever claimed responsibility.
9:21 there is a spesific reason why she used her magic like that way. To call Galio. Galio normally just a statue for to defend Demecian army in the war against magic. they carry it battlefied and it absorb all the magic. when it absorb magic it start moving and fight. after battle it stops moving and become a statue again, carry to back Demecia. so she use her magic to hit Galio so it can revive and come to help them.
Hi! Great video as usual! Have you watched Fiddlesticks' cinematic and champion theme video where they show all the stuff that went into redesigning this straw man?
Another reason demacians despise magic is because they are survivors of rune wars, a terrific period of time with highly destructive magic involved. You might want to check out lore of Ryze on this topic.
I know that. Damacia was build near the Patricite forest because it was the only land unharmed. Still doesn't give them the right to poison mages in cells.
@@DinkaKay I agree. Well you can add that there will always be freaks among people, and some of them are power hungry too. Mageseekers rose in power probably precisely because of fear of magic, doesn't make all the demacians insane.
Cait didnt miss, she is officer and that means, she wont do any lethal shots. Thats why she shot him in mecha-arm, instead of just splattering his skull over the lever.
I greatly appreciate the Lady Loremaster due to the fact that I know not a damn thing about League lore. All I know is that I love Ezreal, Graves, Ahri and the muscular lion dude who's name escapes me at the moment.
