*Bleu de Chanel edt, smells like:* Tesla, Fine dining restaurants, and business meetings. *Dior Sauvage edt, smells like:* Toyota Corolla, frat houses, and locker rooms. 😂😂😂🤣🤣😂
Bro your math is week you literally cut 2 marks from blue de Chanel in point of test. Look at it 2nd test blue de Chanel gets 18 pluse you gave it a solid 10 = 28 but or your editor give it 26 😅 blue de chanel is a clear winner bro not savage
Regarding the Atomizer - I am curious, if you give Sauvage 8.5, what would you give a 10 to? I haven't found a better atomizer out there than the ones on Dior, and 8.5 is kinda questionable
Would someone really make an educated buying decision based on a fragrance *atomizer?* Apparently, this category has the same weight as longevity and projection... I don't think so.
Do you think the EDT is still worth getting? I'm not that big into blue fragrances. And I'm about 2 years into this fragrance thing. The bluest fragrance I have is polo blue Parfum
I’ve been a huge frag head for many many years now and I actually just got Sauvage edt and I really like it lol. That ambroxen is 👍. So yes the Dior wins for me!
Bought BDC edt on 2015. Sold it after half a bottle. Since then I've emptied a bottle of BDC EDP and recently parfum. Got around myself BDC edt 50ml again and loving it thus far, using it in the high heat. The drydown is magnificent. BDC EDP is the all rounder. But if you live in hot and humid climate like me, edt is the best bet.
I'm far more a Bleu De Chanel person and i'm not a big Savauge fan so for me it's all BDC and not even close. Scent is all that matters to me. So it wins on scent to me.
This is a close match, I ended up choosing BDC since it’s a bit more refined. And as Ash stated, BDC is smoother. Sauvage is a projection beast, but on the dry down, it just doesn’t hold up
BDC smells better overall and Sauvage has better performance. So, which of those is more important to you will subjectively determine which of the two you'd prefer. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of either of them but neither is bad. If I had to choose one to be the best, BDC wins.
Sauvage EDT is unwearable for me as it’s headache inducing. The EDP however I love it got a monster 200ml bottle. BDC EDT is less masculine, the EDP and the parfum are amazing but the the dry down on all concentrations is beautiful.
Depends where Ur from, if U are from south East Asia where most countries are hot and humid, avoid EDP and apply EDT. If you are in a colder weather then apply EDP
Sauvage edt or edp is just like lavender disinfectant solution. The scent is clean and fresh but it does not take away from my olfactory that they smell like that. I love the Elixir though. The bdc however have more character to it as a fresh scent.
I like this type of colparison. Sauvage clearly wins in terms of performance. But in terms of smell, perceived quality, for me Bleu de Chanel is ahead. So this one get my vote
next video: Bleu de Chanel vs all other colognes out there I give bleu de chanel a9.5 on everything, i dont know why im.even comparing them, Bleu de Chanel rules, i dont care about the other ones😂
@@JohnWolf926 I agree but I was mainly talking about the variations of the EDT,EDP, and Parfum not including the elixir because that one is clearly the best 😂
@@JohnWolf926 I’m sure Chanel is watching all the success all these companies are having with their variations of “Elixir” and want a piece of that cake also 😂 so maybe one day we will get it and soon 🤞🏼.
@@JohnWolf926 Is it fair to compare sauvage elixir? It is sauvage in name only. It smells nothing like the rest of the line. It isn't even really a blue fragrance.
This was interesting and I'd agree savauge edges it due to performance and that is what makes the majority keep buying it but the majority aren't people like us who own fragrance collections they are mostly the had a bottle as gift for Christmas or birthday and stuck with it and brought a new bottle again and again etc, so it doesn't surprise me that we your subscribers went for the quality of scent in bleu de chanel over the performance of savauge because we own other beast mode performing fragrances wheres the average member of the public who discovers dior savauge thinks the performance is a unique thing across the whole world of fragrance so they stick to it.
This is my thoughts. Dior smells so interesting that i find myself searching for that smell. Bleu smells a lot safer. Less offensive. Spray it on the back of your neck so its not in your face all day. When you open the window of your car the breeze hits your neck and they both smell amazing. Best scents in the car with the windows down. Sauvage Bleu de chanel Creed aventus Platinum egoiste
I got samples of both of these and hands down Dior sauvage is way better of a fragrance and it smells almost the same as BDC especially after it dries but after 5 hours I couldn't even smell BDC but I could still smell the Dior sauvage. But in my opinion when they dry they both smell like a cheaper version of Creed imperial
sauvage's biggest problem is that people thinks EVERYONE wears it, when hardly anyone actually does. i think the two main reasons are the price (unless you are into frags, you are not likely to buy a bottle. cheapies are going to try and get a cheap clone), and the reputation of it being so popular has had the opposite effect. everyone thinks its over popular, which makes less people wear it overall, and the few dudes that stuck with it are laughing
Can't wear Sauvage it doesn't agree with my body chemistry, smells like B.O as for Bore de Chanel it does nothing to wow me. Egoist on the other hand is excellent. If these fragrances work for you and you enjoy them rock on. Peace.
I like a more grown-up fragrance, so it's Bleu de Chanel for me (I have the Parfum). Sauvage Elixir is the only one I would buy, but it's a bit pricey.
Feel like bdc is the objectively better frag. Also, for these kind of rankings, you should weight different categories. I feel that something like presentation are not nearly as important as the other ones and how it smells (i.e. opening and drydown) is by far the most important factor
Maybe an unpopular opinion but EDT is the best version of both Sauvage and BDC. Now if I were to compare them BDC wins and it's not close. Bleu de Chanel is a solid modern classic that actually smells unique and still has crazy versatility , while Sauvage is generic and obviously designed for mass-appeal.
I think most people think about the first 2 categories as the most important because if you don't like the smell why care about stuff like longevity or projection? So, I think most people agree with Ash that BDC smells better than Sauvage (according to his scores).
Sauvage EDT, better projecting, but both are great. I'll even go as far to say that Sauvage EDT is the best of the Sauvage line, even with Elixir being as overhyped as it is, while smelling awful.
Sauvage elixir is cool I like the spicy overall smell easily my biggest compliment getting frag but it isn’t my favorite. Insane performance can’t deny that
Opening should be worth much more and versatility is infinitely more important than longevity. Longevity rly doesnt matter a lot, as you can easily just reapply
@@justhair17Of course my percentages do not have to be the same for everyone. But why do you think the opening should be worth much more? And how much more? Lasts just
@@raulsaavedra709 at least 10%. Opening is literally what makes people buy a frag and and I usually spray/reapply quite often, especially before occasions where I want to be smelled, so its rly important
@@raulsaavedra709 and longevity should be 10% max, wheread versatility should be higher. I'd also put value for money and quality for price at 1%, I dont rly look at price, tho thats just me
@@justhair17 Opening is what manufacturers make to entice you to buy the fragrance. If you care about the wearing experience, the opening is not what makes you buy the fragrance. Do you mean to say 10% of the weight of the drydown? Or 10% of the total? If the latter, how important is the drydown for you vs. the opening? Think about it.
I took a break from your chanel, and many frag channels because I was burnt out by the repeated type content everyone was doing. Though this has been done before, I'm glad to see the change up! I like the set, and youre a lot more enjoyable when you put in more effort. It shows nicely. 👌👌
BDC is classy and timeless. Everyone has Sauvage, it peaked in the first couple years of it's release and I can't stand it anymore. I think junior college Fk boy when I smell it and so do most ladies that aren't in that phase anymore. If you're between the ages of 18 and 21 go for Sauvage. If you are a succesful professional and have your life together go for BDC EDP for the rest of your life. Suavage makes me sick, it's intoxicating in a BAD way. Just my opinion based on experience
Bought Sauvage for the 1st time in August for my trip to Spain and …it’s a banger! It will be one I will always bring back to my collection I’m yet to try Bleu De Chanel but I will
Sauvage EDT. I used to love BDC, EDT & EDP but for some reason, my nose fell out with it. It not a bad fragrance at all, just don't care for it anymore. Still wear Sauvage EDT from time to time, so Sauvage for the win.
i like this video theme. actually FWIW, 3 years ago, it's this exact video format that got me hooked on fragrances. there's another youtuber called cubaknow who made a video some time back comparing dior sauvage EDT with prada luna rossa carbon. that video was freaking hilarious, and the rest is history.
Folks! I went to arguably the biggest and best Niche store in Canada. The 20+ year expert perfumer said Estee Lauder replaced natural notes with synthetics in Initio, Tom Ford, PDM, Jo Malone, Le Labo. and the frags are much weaker with more alcohol. Ambroxan is amped up like crazy. If you smell right after 1st spray and it smells like gasoline that is ambroxan. I have over 10 bottles of these former companies. Why didnt the bottles say Reformulated or have Estee Lauder name ???
Bleu De Chanel is so much better. I have both and the Chanel smells projects and last longer/better. Plus the Pride knock off smells exactly like Sauvage, and there isnt a knock off that can produce like Bleu
i cant stand sauvage EDT. EDP is an improvement for sure. BDC is much nicer, although it's been a while since I smelled it. sometimes the incense/woody notes might not be my cup of tea
I went with Dior because no one had blue to test. Also same reason why I will never pay 400$ on a fragrance I don’t care how many RU-vid’s say it’s amazing. Everyone’s nose is diffrent
So wish I didn’t buy the edp of sauvage I’m mid 20s and realized after I bought it this cologne is kind of an old person scent I’d smell on my aunt or uncle, edt is the way to go oh well
