Just wanted to share this with everyone in the event that your looking to add a physical dipstick to your Audi 4.0T engine. This engine does not come with one from the factory so here’s the perfect option for you! It’s always a good idea to have a way to manual check the oil level since sometimes the MMI system can can take time to display the oil level or could be inaccurate.Below you will find the appropriate part numbers for you to purchase in the event you want to add this to your car

S6/S7 medium handle-

A8/S8 long handle-

Thank you, I just bought a 2017 S7, having no dipstick is just too weird for me. Now I know there’s an option!

Dont waste your money on the billet ECS one thats says it fits a 4.0t..... it would not go down the tube of my 17 S7, only about a inch or so and i couldnt get it to go further, no matter the angle i tried...... Maybe fits other years *shrugs* thanks for this Part # Im old school and i need a physical dip stick lol

Not sure if it’s worth a shot but can try putting a little oil on the oring of the ecs one and see if it slides in easier, if not I wouldn’t force it because I’m sure that tube isn’t fun to replace haha and at that point would just buy the one mentioned

it wouldnt even make it to the handle where the orings where, the actual "bulb" on the end that measures is alot thicker than the one you have (which i ordered btw) I DID NOT want to get that bad boy stuck half way down the tube lol that wouldve been interesting @@KotaPerformance
