Does the blank come with the kit?

Yes it does! It was already installed in the video, as the purpose of this video is how to route the lines. The blank just pops in exactly how the OEM Strainer would.

This might be a dumb question how come audi uses a screen on their turbos and alot of turbo manufacturers dont need one ? Stock and aftermarket turbo setups ?

You see, that's a really good question. I suppose it's a decent second defence against gunk in your turbos, but yeah idk why they're really needed. Before finding this kit, my plan was to just remove the strainer and do very frequent oil changes. This seems a little better though

I'm looking to maybe buy a c7 S6. Is there a service bulletin/recall out for audi to do something like this? Just wondering when I start shopping how I can tell this was done. Nice informative video though!

Yes, Audi released a TSB about the oil screens.

Hello. I saw the video well. Recently, due to a turbo failure, the cartridge was replaced and rebuilt. The reason I think is that there was a bad whistling noise before the turbo breakdown, so I went to the repair shop and heard that the oil seperater was broken, and there was no problem for 2 days after replacing the oil seperater. It. I am wondering if the cause above is the cause of clogging of foreign substances in the oil or another reason. Also, what effect can I see if I replace it with a $649 product sold on the JHM site? Turbine protection is possible, please answer if this is the same case as mine or another problem.

Will you need to remove the oem oil screen prior to this install ? 🤔

Do NOT leave the factory oil screen in place when installing our relocation kit. The OEM screen must be removed

Thanks for a informative video. A few questions: Do you guys actually do this replacement in your shop or you only cell the kit for DIY? You mentioned it is a 9 hour job .. is it the same for S6/7 and A8? A8 has a bit more space under hood. If you have done this installation on A8 what is the total cost for parts and labour? Thanks again.
