Wonderful story! I'm here from A VOX IN THE VOID channel, btw. The Ogryn are awesome! Maybe not the brightest but immensely strong and loyal to a fault. Their childlike minds make their sacrifice somehow more tragic, even if noble.

This is a terrible story that's constantly informing the listener how to feel every step of the way. And there's nothing old-school about a leader caring for their troops, even in 40K, but the reality is humanity wins through attrition, which is not the same as being careless with lives. Lastly, the moralizing about abhumans being being used and the leader's guilt is ridiculous. Altogether, this is a woke story telling you how to feel, telling you Imperium leadership is bad, and begging for a change in 40K lore for being "heartless". Gatekeep this shit.

The squad is pinned down. Most of them are dead. Commissar sacrifices the Ogryn to escape, knowing his survival is nil. The only heartfelt thing about this is that he feels bad about it. What kind of stories are you used to reading that this is terrible and woke?

Your criticism reads like someone who's trying to look cool for people who think that having empathy means you're "gay." They're not worth appeasing. They can't make you happy. All they can do is drag you further away from people who can.
