Dirtbike BOGS when I open the throttle fast - Problem solved - FIXED 

my bike does the same thing i thought my carb just needed to be cleaned i didn't even think about the accelerator pump smh lol gotta take it off again

Vegas RoManiac First I want to say you're freaking awesome!!! Your videos are great and really help all of us along our journey!!! Keep up the great work!! Second Im having the same issues but with a 2008 TTR 125 - L... I've literally tried everything I can think of. The bike starts up first kick and will even run just fine if Im easy on the throttle but any time I give it quick throttle to get over something it bogs down just like your video... Just like it!. I have what I thought was a pump accelerator but on the repair manual they call it a coasting enricher diaphragm... IDK if thats the technical term or not but it looks just like yours, When I first started experiencing the problem I opened the carb to find out it didn't have a spring inside. So I ordered the new spring, installed it thinking it would fix the problem but as soon as I give it throttle quickly it still bogs and dies unless I left of the throttle back to idle. I have ordered a brand new knockoff replica that had a good amount of reviews on amazon but not sure that will have the replacement parts im looking for. I bought it to rob the parts off of and replace it on my OEM carb. Not sure if it will have all the parts but that's my goal, and if that doesn't work maybe just switch them out and see if the knockoff will help it. Do you have any advice? I honestly don't want to take it to the dealer and get hit with a $600 bill cause it took them forever to find the problem. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks for this. I just replaced mine in a rebuild and it was doing similar after. Turns out I put it in backwards lol! Had a 50/50 chance since I could not find any pics. Now running pretty solid!

By the time you finish I will have taken a good repair course with you. I think I have kearned a lot.

plastic and rubber that sit in gas sometimes get hard when they do not have gas coating them.

my bike (tu250 grasstracker) is doing the same thing now, last thing i did was putting gas in, ran about 100km, then just sat for a week due to heavy rain....it idles fine, fluctuate 3500- 2500 rpm with the choke on tho, normally at 35 with the choke on

I have an ATV that recently has this problems: - when I accelerate it doesn't pull as strong as it used to (not too noticeable but still) - when I go at max speed (80khm) and release throttle almost completely it only lowers down to like 50-60kmh so it seems like I'm not even holding throttle and it still goes. (I would have to release the throttle completely for it to start slowing down - which it seems like engine breaking is non functional at this point) any ideas? any tip is good!

Mines a brand new carb made for the bike and it does this. My bike is now only doing 60 when before it was doing 70+. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is your bike carbed ? Mine is fuel injected and does this. Could it be the same thing ?

This is what my 2019 KTM 125 SX is doing. I suck at jetting but no matter what I try, what video tutorial I watch I cannot get this thing running crisp for the life of me. I doubt it's the accelerator pump as my bike has literally only 21 hours on it from the factory. Honestly just thinking about a lectron but it's $500 that I don't have...

I had this once and needed to go on a ride the next day so no time to wait for a replacement, hit it plastidip and it solved my issue for about a 90 mile ride. They're pricey too, about $20.

I was having a super lean state during pump time... turned out the diaphragm was super stiff and old. I ordered a new gasket kit, but it's coming all the way from Germany.... lame! It'll take a couple of weeks to get here. I soaked the diaphragm in DOT 3 for a day, and it softened up, but after a week or so, it got hard again.

My 2007 CR 85 is doing this… any suggestions ?

I just replaced this part. It was in pieces. It worked good after I replaced but still a bog every once in a while. I'm thinking my o ring mod came lose or I got pieces of that diaphragm in my carb now. I know it's not my jetting I have it spot on and never had problems before my diaphragm.

This was wrong mine is still doing the same thing and the diaphragm was in good shape but I replaced it anyway so I am completely lost

Put ethanol eat through that diaphragm?I just bought a 2016 kx450f and I didn't know that I had to run 93 octane gas in it so I was running the cheap 87 octane gas and it started blogging and I shut it off completely and it felt like it was really really hot

Good advice would be to just test the AP..... mimd you you can have a working AP and still have bike bog!!!

my 06 crf250r does the same thing replaced all the jets needles accelerator pump and everything else in between on the carb and still no fix my hot start cable is stripped and im going to replace that hoping that fixes it and if it doesn't i don't know what else to do i put a brand new top end in thinking that was the problem because it was burning oil but nope still bogs the bottom end looks fine no issues at all so i'm starting to think it's a lost cause and just sell the damn thing

I just went through my carb on my 2006 KX250f and replaced everything on the diaphragm except the push rod there. It still bogs at a fast throttle. Would that rod be the issue?

What if you don’t have this problem but if you go a certain speed it bogs down a little bit

o-ring pumper carb mod will further reduce the bog

Lucky my bike run okay with current pump, because I can't get it out. The screw got stripped on it. Maybe I can get some tool for that.
