I think that the main issue it's that the response from the black plastic part is slower than the throttle when you hit it. That's why the O ring solves the issue
I know this is an old video and is a long shot but I have a 2003 yz250f with a brand new carb from Rocky Mountain ATV and the bike starts and idles great but when I put the bike in gear and accelerate it spits and sputters then come alive do you think this will fix that problem thanks in advance
Okay cause the bike ran fine with the old carb I took it apart to clean it because it had some issues idling and the fuel mixture screw snapped off inside the carb so that’s why I bought the new one
Hey man, random question. I just got an exhaust plug today for my 2010 yz 450f. I put the plug in and forgot about it and tried to kickstart it. The bike wouldn’t start and noticed there was less compression as well as a sound that sounded like air was being sucked. I pulled the exhaust plug out and it fired right up but I’m worried I may have messed up something internal by doing that. What’s your thoughts?
Also have a question I have a 2003 crf450r just rebuilt just did a new ap diaphragm but has a bog when I punch it hard but I can also hold the throttle threw the bog and it eventually takes off think this will fix it?
Bought my son a 19 CRF 150r. With a quick throttle twist it does bog but after warmed up it disappears? Also say riding in 3rd motor warm and coming up to a turn with clutch in. Why does the motor rpm kinda race and stay high ? Like to much air. This a air screw thing ?? Have 2 turns out pilot 42 main jet 140.
It’s called a hanging idle. It’s common on these. Bogging when cold is normal. But to fix the hanging idle try lowering it a little bit and back the fuel screw out maybe a 1/2 a turn more and make sure the hot start cable isn’t too tight
I have a KTM 450 exc-R from 2010. After replacing my exhaust silencer, my motocross dies after long rides. I wait a moment and give the gas a few times when standing still. After a while it starts up again. I have the impression that he is not getting enough fluid, what can I do about this?
Ok could be a number of things. Try removing gas tank cap when it starts to die and see if it doesn’t die to fires back up quickly it could not be venting and it’s not allowing fuel to drain out of the tank
Hey in my 150r my hot start fell out of the carb and idk how to put it back in, I know where it goes but my hands can’t fit in my engine bay, any help?
Pulling the hot start lever will pull the plunger in and make it easier to install because you won’t be fighting a spring trying to screw it back in. But you might just have to take the carb out, or at least loosen boot clamps and rotate it
Hello I have the same carburettor, but I have another issue When I accelerate and leave it normal , is starting to accelerate by itself like and to stop it is either I play with the thingy on the left or I press the cold hot starter from the right handle . I clean the jet and everything But the issue is still there Is like the air is to much or the mix is not alright But only when I accelerate and then I take the hand form it , instead of coming down is juts goes up but not to much
Make sure your throttle cables are adjusted right. And ones not too tight when throttle is at idle position. And make sure slides coming all the way down. If everything looks good then find fuel screw under carb in front of bowl and back it out 1/2 a turn
I have a 2021 yz85 I put in bad fuel on accident so then it didn’t wanna turn on so I cleaned the carb and then cleaned and oiled the air filter and cleaned out the gas tank and then it was able to turn on and run but now it still runs but it bogs on full throttle any ideas on why plz respond… thank you🙏🏼
Hi , my kxf250 2014 when i open throttle fast my kx bogs and after second ride normal on Everly gear. When it stay have problem with idle rpms.. its maybe turnished contacts

So I have a gs500f and I cleaned the carbs the other day and it ran fine today I took it on the highway and soon as I got on the throttle it bogged out and died and I had to stop and wait and it started again and did the same thing idk what the issue is??
Not getting fuel to the carbs fast enough sounds like screen in tank or fuel filter is bad or bad fuel pump if it has one but fuel is not flowing to carbs fast enough somethings slowing it down

Pale DIY sure thing. You most likely need to clean the passages where the fuel squirts, and also put a small o ring between the black arm and where it rests. Look up the fcr o ring mod
@@joshuacastillo5952 that works too but there’s no point because there’s a screw to adjust that fills in the gap that the zip tie does, except using the screw to adjust it is better because there’s supposed to be a very small gap between the 2 parts. People also use a zip tie in place of the o ring to hold them together so they don’t separate when stabbing the throttle but I don’t like that because it forces it to move when the o ring stretches and doesn’t force them but still helps hold them together
@@sender6994 I used a small piece of mechanics wire...that clip looks like the perfect fix...I was in need of it right away...helps to be a professional mechanic so used to making other options work. Such a simple fix for a problematic issue...KTM 525
I’ve got a 2007 Honda Steed...it’ll start up and drive like normal. Then, it’ll struggle and lose all power and sit idling (but i can’t give it any gas or it’ll die)...try starting it a few times for a few minutes and then it starts right up and goes fine....then later the same thing. I had a guy fix the carburetor, but what are your suggestions? Thanks man! (I’ll try what you show in your video as well)

Not too familiar with motorcycles, I’d check and make sure your fuel pump isn’t full of shit and is pumping fuel good and your bowls aren’t draining if it’s carbureted

I just bought a 150 cc quad and it starts up and everything good but when I go push the throttle hard, it starts to cut out and bog out like it wants to go but it’s like not getting enough gas to the engine to keep going. Those carbs aren’t designed well at all. I would maybe take the carb off and usually on the bottom of the carb in front of the bowl as in engine side of the carb there should be a little flathead which is the idle fuel screw and turn it out half a turn to richen it up and it might help. The screw might be on the side of the carb but the idle speed screw is too so don’t mix them up. Google will also help and RU-vid

I don’t know much about these so I don’t want to pull out the carb and try to clean it myself because I don’t know how to do that don’t want to mess up anything but I know there is one screw. I can see that has a ring over it. Is that the one you’re talking about? Because I twisted it and it made it idle louder, and I had to put it back to normal.
Hey bro I know it’s random and your prolly hella busy, but if you get 5/10 mins could you check my latest vids please this crf150r just doing my head in for the life of me it will just not stay running, I’ve done literally everything, new piston cylinder, valves adjusted, ( they seal perfectly ) decomp is fine, the timing is spot on the carb is clean, ( my pal put a piston and cylinder on it ) ( in a 2t man never do 4 smokers but he’s a good friend so thought I’d try first before he sells it lol, I’ve got the timing right it wouldn’t wanna start but when it would ran like a dog , then I cleaned the carb and she was still a pain to start but would start better ( tappy ) done the valve shims, kicks a little softer than it did but it was genuinely missing a exhaust shim🤦🏼🤷🏼♂️ possibly in the bottom end or somewhere else, not now I’ve set the valves and am 100% with them and the timing there’s not a noise from it that is unwanted, today I done the valves and she started first kick without a fuss ( hasn’t idled at all so far ) but she sat there ticking over reved a tiny bit on choke and cut out would start up and cut out ( been doing that this whole time ) ( when I did the timing and the carb clean, she’d rev to the moon wouldn’t tick over and eventually would just cut out ), I have a vid of riding her from warm to 3rd gear no choke and then she coughed and died, after I only done timing and carb clean, valves were untouched, now it won’t rev up, it’ll start rev and die instantly if i kick it and tickle it and leave it she ticked over for a decent time, the rains come in now so I went in too lol but any ideas, all ideas, time and opinions appreciated
