It's on my bucket list! Lots of Irish in my DNA. I have been fascinated with Ireland years before I did my DNA test, tho. Knew we had some, but didn't know it was this much. The hubby and I will be headed that way in 6 years or so...after retirement. ☘😊

I have a few times, my family is from the north (Donegal) I'm only twice removed and plan to get my Irish passport one of these days having been grandfathered in. It's a wonderful county.

Everyone in the comments thinking they're hoof care experts after watching The Hoof GP. Gareth and Tom are hoof care specialists as well. They may not have the wide variety of high tech equipment that The Hoof GP does, but they're doing their best for the cows with experience and skill. Could they do stuff differently? Maybe. But we're not there with them in the moment with the cows.

Actually to my eyes this crush allows them more flexibility. Two feet in the air, adjust inclination of the foot. The rest is same, treat cows to the best of theirs ability

I take care of big animals too (zookeeper specializing in feline care), so I know what it's like when someone who's watched a couple videos by an expert thinks they're an expert now too. I know y'all are doing your best, and it's obvious that you're really working hard to do what's best for the cows. If they needed something you couldn't provide, you'd for sure get it for them.

I have never seen two surgeons perform a surgery the same , two dentists , two dermatologist . Each and everyone has their own methods , it doesn’t matter as long as it works .

My parents went to Ireland once a year for a couple of weeks. They were so charmed from the roughness of the island and the warm people that live there. They hardly spoke English, but that was never an issue. With hands, feet and good will, everybody understood each other. 😊

I like that he pushes the pus out of the cow’s and bull’s hooves. I feel like, and I could be wrong, it really is a big relief and so satisfying (for the babies and myself lol) to see all that yuck get pushed all the way out. I know when we have blisters and knots, getting that fluid out is A WORLD OF RELIEF. I haven’t seen any other hoof trimmer on RU-vid make sure the fluid gets out as much as possible. Just tec!

You never realize how out of shape you are until you walk up a few flight of stairs or go for a hike up hills. Sorry those are hills I am Canadian, but absolutely beautiful ones.

Of all the English speaking countries, you guys in Ireland got the best accent by far, maybe because you had your own language to begin with, I could listen to an Irishman speak until I went to sleep its so relaxing 😊. Great video guys!

A couple of months ago my sister had her entire big toenail removed because of the infection from it being ingrown. Now I think of her whenever I watch one of these. (She was in the similar situation of not being able to put her foot up or anything.)

Loved the last video where you installed the container. It's nice to see some behind the scenes stuff. Having been to the Irish countryside I think you should continue telling people about Ireland here and there. It's a great idea. Telling people about the rock walls or the random stuff in the hills would be super interesting to most folks believe it or not. Random tidbits thrown in like the shades of green and keltic history would be another thing to differentiate you from the "other" hoof guy ;)

@Patrick Kelly to be fair there is only one hoof guy. There are these guys (TEC TV 👍💯), the Hoof GP (🤷‍♂️), The Midwestern Hoof Trimmer (ehh, he's alright), and then "'____' The Hoof Guy" (also 💯👍, however with a different style). So while they might all be "hoof guys", technically there is only one true "'____' The Hoof Guy". As far as getting right down to it, and ability to learn from his experience simply by watching a video, I'd go for ____ The Hoof Guy. For a day spent on the farm with friends while learning some stuff on the side, and seeing some absolutely beautiful countryside, well, here I am 👍✌️.

I find that all the hoof trimmers mentioned in these comments ate dedicated to the animals they are caring for. I dont think one of them wishes to hurt an animal. They simoly have different styles. I can appreciate eaxh of them for their skills and what they bring to their trade. Happy to have discovered all of them.

Even with the fog it still looks beautiful to me! Granted I live in Las Vegas, so I'm seeing a LOT of desert scrub and would love to be somewhere greener. You don't quite miss fog as much as when you're in a desert...

A friend just visited Ireland. She says it’s a beautiful country. She shared that Irish have a saying, “Ireland has 40 shades of green”. Too bad your hike was on a day that didn’t show some of those shades!

Every engineer has his own way of doing things. It all depends on personal knowledge, experience and tools. . . . Your fog is lovely though. Oh my goodness, that is beautiful scenery!! What I'd give to be able to go hiking there now.. get away from it all. It's just gorgeous. Conversely, is it just me that thinks that the yellow, infected corium looks like cooked egg yolks? It even has the same... kind of flaky/crumbly texture.

And the guy who was with us who teaches hiking and camping courses was like "Nooooooo!!!!" Making the skin moist increases friction. And here this guy is standing in water. Wet socks, wet feet, wet shoes. You may be hoof care experts but not feet care experts lol.

Pity the weather didn't want to cooperate for the hike part of the video, but there's always next time. Have you gents ever tried the embryonics paste that Hoof GP uses? Or any other type of topical paste to help promote healing, whether it's commercial or homemade?

At the end of the day, the process they use may be different to the hoof gp, but the outcome is still the same. As long as it works for them and the cows they treat it’s not for us untrained wallys to pick fault.

I’m shocked they don’t use a pressurized sprayer over a manual one. Can adjust from mist to solid stream and power behind the stream much better than a manual trigger spray bottle.
