Back before mug cakes were a thing, Betty Crocker had a line of boxed cakes, with a pan included. The lemon version, was my personal kryptonite. I think it was around in 1982, and probably much longer, but I was just a kid, and didn't get to do the shopping. I don't know when they stopped making it, or why. But I miss it.
@@dittokiddo3340 I remember that pasta too. My grandparents always seemed to have cans of the stuff, which in hindsight might have been many years out of date. But several years ago I was in a ramen shop of all things where I ordered a bowl of their signature ramen. To my surprise, it tastes almost exactly like the chicken flavored pac man pasta. I know it could be considered insulting to compare a nice fresh bowl of ramen to canned pasta from the 80's, but it was a nostalgic trip nonetheless.
I used to love those, better than Yoohoo's. At least, they tasted better than that Chocolate Soda in my college dorm vending machine. I had to go to the grocery store in Dahlonega, Ga. to get the Yoohoo's because they didn't carry the Canfield sodas. I like the Zevia Ginger Root Beer and Black Cherry now, but they're almost $10 a pkg.
Campbell’s also did a wonton soup in the early 80s,the can had a nice pretty sampan boat on the label, haven’t seen it in years. I think it was 1979, Chef Boyardee did beef cannelloni, everyone loved it, and then that disappeared too.
Been calling Trader Joe's "Traitor"Joe's ever since they discontinued their 24 Karat Carrot Cake. Shame on TJs! It was AWESOME! It was one of their best selling products too! 😭
I work at a grocery store overnight stocking, mainly the can aisle, and been there during the entire pandemic. I recall Progresso cutting their selection down at the same time there was a chicken shortage. I always thought that may be the reason...
Pour some powdered caffeine in four loko and you just made yourself the old four loko drink. Be responsible though and know how much caffeine you put it. Use a scale. Crush up caffeine tabs and add to a glass then pour four loko in.
I like Spam...I like pumpkin spice. Pumpkin spice Spam is horrible. Just....NO. Two things I wish would come back are Campbell's chicken gouda bisque soup, and Jif's maple peanut butter.
jolt went all in on the marketing and target a predominantly male demographic. if women liked it or not was of no consequence to jolt. it is telling that the narration of the video glosssed over this fact. god forbid any product be marketed to men even in the past.
Won't miss Progreaso. Hate it. Prefer good Ole Campbell's soups, especially Manhatten Chowder. The New England Chowder is more fattening so I prefer the vegetable and clam chowder. Alas, companies cut out my favourite soups and I feel like a orphan customer. Went to a Kroger and all they had was Progreaso and their generic brand. Ew! I walked out and went to my closer grocers, Publix and Walmart, and found my favourite soups-for awhile. Dr. Oetchker' Restaurante Pizza was pretty good too, but gone. I like Am. Flatbread better now so please don't delete it!
But it's limited to regular and citrus flavor. I wish Monster would just take the Full throttle flavor, maybe it a Monster Zero Ultra flavor and release that.
I bet that Pumpkin chunks would taste good in chilli. Sometimes I add butternut squash to my chilli but I will try Pumpkin next time. I have always loved Pumpkins.
My favorite canned soup vanished years ago. I would eat Campbell’s Scotch Broth at least twice a week over several years, high school and college. I think it was pulled because Average American dislikes lamb.
Crystal Pepsi and Tab Clear. Maybe, that's why I like Zevia Soda-no caramel colouring!-and carbonated waters better than regular sodas. Diet Dr. Pepper was my favourite, but I only drink it if the only iced tea offered is Luzianne (and I can't stand its nasty taste).
