Dazu was one of my favorite travel destinations while I was in Chongqing!! A little farther from the city so expect this to be a whole day trip for anyone who decides to go. I’d recommend to buy the day tour from the tourism offices in the city- they’ll drive you to Dazu, give you an amazing lunch, and drive you back to the city. I love Chongqing!!

@@evian6673 If you are already in China, traveling to Chongqing shouldn't be a problem. However not all tourist attractions are fully opened yet. To get into the tourist attractions you also have to show the same sort of ID and Health Code as the locals, but once that is taken care of, everything should be fine.
I had visited Mogao caves in Dunhuang but never heard about the Dazu rock carvings, amazing and interesting and it looks like not much advertising is made about this place
