This old stone house is really beautiful! I'm glad your saving it because it's part of that properties story! An original building like that should be admired for it's beautiful construction! Well John the mother and grandmother in me are really glad you have help with the floor you don’t want to go backwards and damage your neck shoulder arm again too painful love the look of the back extension it is looking amazing already. I hope that after cutting down so far for a lower doorway and floor that you take some kind of precautions so that you don't have flooding issues of water going into your house when it pours rain. Especially from water coming down your stairway and running into the house.

John the wooden addition when you look from the front door of your stone house up to the wooden addition looks absolutely stunning. Love the lawn mower but way out of my price range, your lawn looks stunning though who would have thought that you have stomped that into the ground with your own two feet and vellies. Glad Tara and the boys are having a lovely time and I am sure they are missing you. Crusoe and Sawyer are going to love it when Mario comes with his digger. @TheNewbys have found a beautiful stove. John, I think you found a little treasure, the cast iron stove I think is Oliva, which was one of the most important factories in Portuguese industrial history, currently the old building is the Oliva Creative Factory.

That lawn of yours looks amazing. And the stone house wow, they did a great job on the floor and lowering it. Soon it will all look so beautiful. That stove is great too, please don't forget to save that little shell part that was on the ledge to the side of the stove, it is part of that stove I think. Doing an amazing job John love watching the progress, makes me wish for a project of my own i used to love doing this sort work, maybe one day I will find a nice little spot. I want that lawn mower its amazing....! But living in the van means I don't have a lawn!! Maybe I could just let it loose in random places when I park up,it would be very relaxing just watching it trundle round while I sit back with a beer lol 👍

John, what an incredibly artistic and talented man you are! That step in front of the doorway is going to be absolutely beautiful! One of a kind my dear sir! Well done!! The photo of Crusoe holding the snake…corn snake?…is delightful and takes me back to when ours were young. We had every kind of pet you could think of and enjoyed them all. John I went into the Mamotion Luba 2 link, and it looks as though you have made a smart move in its purchase. The extension is an art work in progress. When completed it will be a wonderful addition to the stonehouse. Glad Tara is in Zimbabwe with the boys while the floor is being excavated, all that mess and dust.... I admire your family and am so happy to have found your channel and joined a few weeks ago. We once had a very rusty old metal stove in a cabin we bought, and were lucky enough to have a friend bring us some, I think it was called, "US Naval Jelly", which not only cleaned off the rust, but seemed to add lustre to the metal. It looked magnificent when fully cleaned. The terra cotta tiling is gorgeous. You really are an artist!

That stove is a total and utter gem of a find! 💎 It's going to look amazing when you have it all freshly blacked and in your new space, as are those terracotta tiles - especially with that shade of green from your bespoke kitchen...
