ahhh i wish you reacted to ‘secret’ and ‘dreams come true.’ i feel like those two songs are some of their best and speak as to who they are. even ‘as you wish,’ is such a good example.

One of my TOP 5 favorite Girl Groups! Love the elegant style they bring to the table! Unnatural is one of the best comebacks of the past couple years honestly! Exy is one of the best female rappers in kpop while Yeonjung + Dawon are one of the best vocal duos!✨

For the b-sides, i believe New Me; You, You, You; Our Garden; Rewind and Starry Moments will make you very happy, these are amazing. there's Pantomime too, they performed it on Queendom but the studio version is 💯 chief kiss

their b side “pantomime” is imo one of the best b sides in k pop, it’s a must listen! The production is crazy and it has a super engaging theatrical style to it! (never land themed). I would literally loop the song and still find something new I love abt the song every listen! I also love “baby face” which is more cutesy and playful song :)

I honestly think their b-sides sound a lot like their title tracks, but I still recommend "I-Yah" and "Last Dance", and their other songs like "Dreams Come True", "As You Wish" and "Secret". They always keep the cosmic sound in their tracks. But what I think you'll really enjoy it's the sub-unit song "Easy" from WJSN The Black. Unfortunately, Starship doesn't really invest in WJSN like they do with I'VE, for example, so it's unlikely that they would ever go on killing voice.

A basic WJSN rundown. The debuted as a collaboration girl group between Starship (IVE, Monsta X, etc) and Yuehua (Everglow). Yuehua is a China based company. They debuted as 12. 9 Korean and 3 Chinese girls. The Korean girls were under Starship and the Chinese girls under Yuehua. Their debut concept was horoscopes, essentially. Each girl had a sign, which is why if you look up their profile some of the members have fake birthdays (to fit the concept). Yeonjung was added as the 13th member when they made their 1st comeback, Secret. She was on Produce 101 and was part of the final, temporary group IOI. At that time, the Produce contract didn’t have exclusivity, so Starship debuted her in WJSN while IOI did Whatta Man as 7 (4 girls were pulled from that comeback so they could promote in their company groups). Lore-wise, she’s the 13th sign that was discovered some years back. Won’t go into too much detail on the Chinese members but Yuehua essentially pulled them from the group and they’ve been exclusively promoting in China since 2018. So WJSN is essentially 10 members now.

I think they had an astronaut there because their name in Korean translates to Cosmic Girls. Apparently when they had 13 members it was supposed to have their own constellation. They leaned heavy into the space theme early.

this just made me so happy, thank u for reacting to the girlies!!!! they truly have so much potential, the range in vocal talent this group has in insane and they're synchronization on the choreos is always on!! Starship ship better star giving them their flowers cuz it's about time they break the curling they've reached!!

i completely understand ppl being over the whole retro sound and concepts, i'm sorry to say i am a sucker and always tend to enjoy them still lmao. However, i do believe we've begun to move into the concept/genre of music that these groups are doing: rock/pop rock. As much as i want to say it's 100% due to dreamcatcher's sound, i don't believe it's entirely based off of their sound. Though to some extent, i do believe they impacted within the fandoms and companies with their edm/metal sound. but metal isn't as commercial friendly, so to make it more approachable and exciting, companies went to rock. groups that i wouldn't have thought would do pop rock, not to say that they can't pull it off or shouldn't, are twice, stayc and gidle. twice's Queen of Hearts in their latest album. stayc's Young Luv from their Young Luv ep. gidle's Tomboy. Other groups/artists i've noticed do rock/pop rock within the last year or 2 are TXT, Billlie, n Yena. (I dont follow boy grps so i cant tell w/ them aside from TXT lmao). ofc that's just my take on it, maybe im wrong.

They have two sub units: Chocome: Hmph, Super Yuppers. The Black: Easy (This sub unit is super lethal)

I also recommend checking out wjsn the black - easy. And the girl whose voice you liked is Seola, recently she covered '스물다섯, 스물하나' and it's super good

ALSO! Pls react to afterschool ( specifically "Ah" "Bang" "First Love" and their subunit Orange Caramel are an even bigger hit imo...

Oh yay.....you got to WJSN. One of those groups that actually doesn't make sense why they aren't bigger but it happens in kpop. Similarly to Oh My Girl (pre-Queendom)....a group with a MASSIVE discography with an incredible number of really, really, really excellent songs. The have all the components.....great songs, a top top level rapper, a couple visuals of visuals, a couple really good vocalists (and a crazy belter in yeonjung), and generally decent to strong dance skills. Just goes to show how crowded kpop is and if you don't hit it when you're supposed to....you get kinda stuck. you're note on indie WOULD be cool with the exception that the indie scene in korea is already MASSIVE with INCREDIBLE artists (and for some reason in korea it's predominantly solo artists. Honestly, indie and groups would be a weird fit without actual instrument players or being an actual band)

You should listen to Pantomime, their performance on Queendom 2 which they won.

I'm a casual listener of wjsn c: I recommend La La Love and Secret!! Their most famous bside has to be 'Pantomime' and it is for a reason, really hoping you could listen to it, the song is... truly something

i find their title tracks to be quite underwhelming compared to their bsides, although i still enjoy their title tracks alot. WJSN for me is more of a bside group, their best songs come from the WJ Please album! my personal favorite bsides (slower songs) are I-Yah, You You You, Our Garden. for faster bsides i'd recommend WW, BADABOOM, Luckitty Cat & Miracle! i think WJSN is a hit or miss for most people, for me they were an immediate hit but music is subjective so if you're still not really into them, it's all good!

You mention you’re reacting to them on Queendom but am I wrong in that you haven’t reacted to Queendom since Episode 3? Are you going to continue? As that’d be a huge + in wanting to rejoin the PATREON. I was a patron in the past, specifically for Queendom reactions but you mentioned you stopped because they weren’t getting the interactions wanted in order to continue reacting to it.
