hi, thanks for the quick reply.. yeah, i have always been of the opinion that you should try to do the work yourself if possible.. and it always surprises me when people are either not interested in learning to do something new, or simply assume that it is someone else's job..
When you are trying to get the other half of the bearing separated take a cutting disc and angle grinder and cut a groove into the remaining half of the bearing ,Get a cold chisel and a heavy hammer and give it some. You will find the half bearing will fall off. Job done.👍
