Part 1. I received a new Scope from DISCOVERYOPT, made in China. It was mailed to me (For free and Unsolicited by me.) I told them I would give both the Good or Bad so as to stay unbiased on my channel.
(I want to be clear! I am not affiliated with DiscoveryOpt, nor am I promoting their product in this demo.)
I am also responding to a request to see my downsized Reloading Bench.

The "bad" thing about such scopes is that the tubes between the bells are VERY short, necessitating a picatinny type rail to mount them on in order to get proper eye relief. That is not a problem on AR style rifles, but on a bolt gun, especially a long or magnum length action, with a blind magazine makes loading a bit more difficult than two piece or relief cut one piece bases. The front ring may also wind up being over the magazine opening making it even more difficult. That 56mm objective lens will also make the scope that much higher over the bore, which might require stock modificatins on a "traditional" rifle. I hope it does well for you, 5-6x base magnification is okay for mountain/prairie shooting.

You make very good points indeed. Now-a-days it seems that most newer bolt action rifles come with a detachable mag and have a picatinny rail compatibility.

Dave. Good informative video for the new scope. I will look forward to seeing that possibly on your new gum. Also, thanks for a look at your new loading area. Take care.

Very neat & compact set up for your reloading room... Mine is more spread out... and I need to re-evaluate my pill storage those shelves are starting to bow Like the picture of "The Duke"

Yes the plastic storage drawers were not made to hold 200#s of projectiles. I mainly use my portable reloading bench that is in my TV room.

My loading room would have to be an addition to the house followed by purchasing reloading equipment, powder and projectiles 😏 Yeah, I need a couple new scopes and high profile rings. Will you be mounting this and giving a field review?

Good stuff. Looking forward to part 2. What's your guess on the maximum distance you would want to use this optic for?

If you are bench or fixed position shooting 25x will let you focus on your target to 1,000 yds +or -. Distance shooting has more to do with the rifle/ cartridge capability. As a hunter I never shoot past 500 yds because that is my ability and confidence limit.
