I will say this is the first marvel material that got genuine laughter out of me mainly because of how bad it is (Also abomination was my favorite part)

The 'wood's bread n butter is sex and violence. Hence the tripping all over themselves. Couple this with a general populace schooled by public compulsory systems, and you'll eventually get a hot mess such as this one surviving past pilot.

Before Disney made She-Hulk, there was one issue of the comic where She-Hulk had to jumprope completely naked. Marvel did the unthinkable.

Jen really is a bad person. Almost every trait about her is negative. She is self-centered, gossipy, sexist, entitled, pessimistic, envious, among many others and somehow we are supposed to cheer for her because she is the hero protagonist. She is also said to be a great lawyer while never showing her being great at her job. Not even professional, since she was tweeking and signing up for date web site on her office on work hours.

@@Lwiis64 I wouldn’t call her a hero - she’s more of a protagonist. They aren’t the same thing. For example it could be argued that Thanos is the protagonist of Infinity War, but that in no way makes him a hero (though She-Hulk is making me question whether or not Thanos was right 💀).

@@GabesEdtiz I understand "hero" and "protagonist" are not necessarily synonymous. I only called her a hero because that is what she is supposed to be. Supposedly, since there is nothing heroic about her in this series.

All the females in this show constantly barking is enough to make anyone jump out a window. That was the funniest joke this show has to offer, and it was completely unintentional.

Plus there was so much potential for that. How many life insurance claims have been paid out for him? How much inheritance tax does he owe? Then they reach a deal where his debts are settled if he agrees to let stem cell researchers have as much of him as they want.

It truly was 😂 also they wasted their opportunity for a proper Mr. Immortal and the Great Lakes Avengers

Probably the same way that Marvel comics, back in the day, had no idea how to write legal stories with J Walters. She-Hulk is a cartoon character who's fully aware that she's in a silly, over the top, television show. Hell, she's aware that she's in a 4th wall breaking franchise called the MCU (though she has yet to use that term, her awareness is obvious). You can't take this show any more seriously than you can take the source material.

They had a ton of reshoots, re-edits, and patchwork scenes (scenes shot multiple ways with various outcomes). Imagine how bad the original versions of these episodes were.

Alas, that would have required clever, competent writers. Not the sort of person who gave us Pickle Rick.

It would've been cool to make her like a cross between Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones from the Netflix shows tbh, it's a damn shame this is what they did. They should've saved this BS for a Deadpool show or something

My favourite was when a group of women came across her in the bathroom and they figured she had just been assaulted so their big fix for this wasn't calling police, but instead cleaning her up, dressing her like a prostitute and sending her back in to the street. This was a scene the showrunner was particularly proud of, stating that they fought to keep it in.

The kind who can't stand seeing or hearing anything negative about something they like or the studio that makes the thing. Notice the attention that long-time fans of any show/franchise who've been familiar with a character for years and how they get treated if they ever raise one objection to how a character is portrayed in another form of media, even when said person is being calm and respectful. Then notice how the people who defend this show get treated by the Hype Machine types in the media... until said defenders aren't useful to them, anymore.

Only part I could somewhat enjoy was when she was trying to reject being a hulk… then she got over it so quickly and it was just a mess. They could’ve had her relate to abomination, since he just expected the Cap super soldier serum. Not what he got.

Anytime I brought up the bad writing, nonsensical characters, anything negative at all about the show, he'd just look at me angry and say, "Why? Why don't you like it?!" Like, inferring that there's another reason I hate it besides it being crap, right? Uh oh, a man has an opinion! He must be horrible! If you watched the previous versions of She-Hulk, or maybe something similar in media, I could actually understand that.

This guy's take on that was a lil off, I for one am particular to the muscular woman, a lot of men are, and it doesn't mean you are gay and trying to hide it, some men might be but not all, depends what kind of muscular woman you like but I get it it's not the majority. Rest of the vid was on point though.

Which is all the more reason I fear what they'll do with Daredevil. His Netflix show was easily one of the best things to come out of Marvel's live-action run. If this show was far better, maybe we could see Jen learn a little from Matt and form a mutual bond with him, especially since they both have a lot in common: defense attorneys being given superpowers by complete accident (Matt from a chemical accident, Jen by taking in some of Bruce's blood) and now tasked with being superheroes. However, given what this show now is, I can guarantee you that She-Hulk will either show him off at the last minute (like Rhino in TASM2 and Luke Skywalker in TFA) or completely ridicule him out of spite for men. I get that Disney probably pays well for actors and people loved Daredevil, but I honestly wish Charlie Cox never got involved in this. He deserves better.

It's one thing to miss your mark. It's another thing to miss your mark by so far that your arrow somehow curves around and hits you square in the forehead.

@@trianglemoebius Why the assumption? I believe that is only your presupposition, a reflection on how you see women. Plenty of competent and active princesses throughout modern and classical fiction immediately spring to mind. None of this is to say that women should be held to a standard of assertiveness and total self reliance. Women are nuanced characters, just like men are. Submission, romance, neutrality, and nurturing, none of these things deny someone her womanhood. Ask a little girl why she looks up to her princesses. She'll refer to her great beauty, elegance, and propriety, her ability to talk to birds or what have you. These are traits that reinforce self respect and admiration, kindness, nurturing, and warmth. All I ask of you is that you don't force me to write that women are not men.

Yeah, all of it. I can't name anything redeeming in and of the show itself, or how it adds anything to the greater MCU.

I don't understand this weird "I gotta watch it even though it looks bad and I know I'm gonna hate it" mentality. For example, I love Tolkien's writings. I have for 30 years. I will never watch the rape of his works that he wrote painstaking over the course of over twenty years by the very kind of evil machinery his Ring symbolized to him, just to find out I hate the show.

Fool me once, shame on Marvel (Episode VII), fool me twice, shame on me (Episode VIII), fool me three times, shame on us BOTH (Episode IX). These 3 abject failures to write a cohesive, entertaining, and believable story, with with well written and developed characters and plot lines (notable mention, avoiding retconning past material) have kept me completely away from Kenobi, Thor LAT, She Hulk, and the plethora of others they have literally milled out quality or demand be damned!. I have seen many clips (not out of context), thanks to Robot Head and other You Tubers and they make so many valid points. It's just plain bad, unconscionable, crappy writing, and material, that doesn't make sense. Awesome combo, if you want to waste a ton of money and have nobody like your product... looking at DC (pretty much always), Marvel (most recent stuff), and LotR RoP (currently).

The worst part is that in the comics, Jen had a great personality. She generally LIKES human beings, and they like her. People want to be around her. She had personality flaws, but she wasn't bitter toward most people. The character was extremely positive, which was especially refreshing in the dark age of comics, when several big titles were competing to be darker, grittier, and more angst-ridden.

@@cavalryscout9519 I was never really a Hulk guy, regular or She-, but I knew the basics (blood transfusion, not a jerk in either form, competent lawyer, etc.) that these goofs go out of their way to mess up. And now you say it's even worse than I realized. I'm not surprised anymore.

@@shadow_realm47 and Carol Danvers was another character who was generally better in the older comics. Both characters were actually cooler when they were a bit less powerful too. She-Hulk in particular was notably weaker than the Hulk, but unquestionably a more competent hero, and a better member of any team because she was smart, genuinely wanted to help people, and good at getting along with people.

I only know she-hulk in the cartoons, like the agents of smash of ultimate Spider-Man for example. But in those she was just way better adapted and you can tell, in the little bits of comic interactions I seen of her and the hulk she wasn't such a bitch. Marvel just sort of killed her whole character except "she's a big green fighting machine to!"

Plus, the really attractive guy she meets up with and later sexually abuses says at the beginning that he has had multiple first dates with NO success! How does that make sense? Is it because women suck?

The Incredibles came out almost 20 years ago and showed a family with superpowers with slice of life stuff a whole lot better-- Dash using super speed to prank a teacher, shy Violet turning invisible when the cute boy looks over, Mr. Incredible lifting his clunker car in a fit of rage over the day he's had, Mrs. Incredible stretching to vaccuum or holding her fighting kids apart, etc. In this, She Hulk uses her power to... drink even more than she already does and bait men for the sex she wasn't getting as Just Jen. 😬
