The Black Cauldron movie shares similarities with The Lord of the Rings and it's indeed a brief animated adaptation of the first two novels of The Prydain Chronicles anthology that came to life in the 1960s by author Lloyd Alexander on the basis of principally the Mabinogion among other stories from Welsh folklore.

I consider the black cauldron one of my favorite movies from Disney. It may have received some criticism back in the day, but still enjoyed it. If you are doing another Disney reaction, have you seen Bambi?

The Black cauldron is a good Disney movie! An enjoyable watch. And yes, we have seen Bambi as well. It’s been a while since we watched it, but Bambi was one on our favorite childhood Disney movies. 😊
