Agreed! When Disney started to carry more plus sizes they were almost always grey shirts. For years I had nothing but grey Disney shirts. It didn't make sense to me that the happiest place on earth only sold drab, grey shirts in plus sizes. I am so happy to see lots of colors and choices and hope the selection will continue to get better.
I haven't smiled so hard in a while. I'm so happy for you. It's so nice to be able to walk into a store with cute stuff and find cute stuff for yourself! Thrilled!
So true! We tend to expect we will find something in a plus size specialty store but when it comes to traveling and buying things in store that has predominately average sizes -- the expectation we will find things to wear is slim to none. It's an absolute thrill to find lots of cute things in one store. Thank you for watching!
😍 I love your personality && your making me excited to visit for the first time lol. Binge watching your videos while I’m waiting to walk into work lol.
I have avoided that store and Uniqlo because I assumed they would not have plus size stuff. I'm glad I was wrong! I will definitely check it out next time I'm there.
Oh my goodness those all look great on! I don't envy you having to choose..... I personally love the lightweight blue sweatshirt ♡ Thanks for doing this video😊
I tried so hard not to buy something but I caved. With so many cute tops, I had to buy one. I can't wait to show you what I got in the next Live Chat video.
LOVE the Disney cat lady shirt! Super cute (but having 3 cats at home might make me a bit biased! lol). They all looked fantastic on you though! Can't wait to see which one you bought! I enjoyed this series of videos - so happy to see that Disney has such great plus size options!
I am so glad I was able to bring this series to you. I was afraid people would get bored of watching me shop -- but I am happy to see that you guys have as much fun watching as I do in filming them. I am really excited that Disney has been upping their Plus Size game this year and can't wait to see what they have in store for us in 2019.
It really depends on your shape. I am able to get a 2XL on my body and I normally wear a 4x or 5x. It is super baggy in the shoulders, chest and arms. The sleeves are crazy long on me too. It is snug across my torso and tight on my belly and hips. It is long enough that it can go past my crotch if I tug it down. I am able to get it on my body but the fit looks awful. The design of the shirt is like an inverted pyramid with the largest/roomiest part on the top and smallest/snuggest part on the bottom. If you you have a straight figure where your bustline, waist and hips are all about the same you might find that you like the fit of a XL or a 2XL.
Thank you for doing these videos! Really appreciate it. I wonder if maybe in the description box, you would be able to share some measurements in addition to general sizing. In particular arm circumference and hips. I have big arms and sometimes have a hard time knowing if the tshirt sleeves will fit over them.
I'm actually in the midst of losing small quantities of weight each week. I taped this video about a month ago so even if I measure myself now, I will be smaller now than I was then. Sorry about that -- but I don't want to put measurements down in writing if they are not accurate.
I've been binge watching your videos! Love them! I actually never would have tried on any tops at Disney/Disney springs because I haven't seen any past a 2xl in previous trips. But now I know to look for 3xl in January when I go. I love the Minnie tank :)
Thank you! Disney sells some tops that are labeled XL, XXL, XXXL - those are made from Missy size patterns that have been enlarged and will often tend to be tight in the torso and sleeves and short in the overall length -- they work well for plus size women size 14 - 22. Disney also sells tops that are labeled 1X, 2X, and 3X -- these tops are generally women's plus size tops and, for the most part, generously sized and will work well for plus size women sizes 20 - 30. Finally, Disney sells mens/unisex tops in XL, 2XL, 3XL -- these shirts can fit women up to a size 30 but the shirts may be snug in the bust and hips and may be oversized in the shoulders, sleeves and mid section. I am 350 lbs, and 5'4" -- I find the ladies styles labeled as 3X work best on me -- I normally wear a size 30/32 or a 4X/5X but at Disney a woman's plus 3X works well for me most of the time.
@@PammiePlusParks I watched every single shopping video you made. And most of your ride ones over the last two days. Hahaha. Yes we wear the same size (I weigh more but am taller) so it gives me a great idea on how things will fit (approximately as I need to account for height) Your videos are great and I subscribed! Keep up the amazing work
Thank you so much for watching Melissa. I am hard at work putting together new videos. I have a few more coming for Magic Kingdom rides, attractions and restaurants. I also have a Tour of Turnstiles video for Magic Kingdom where I show/tell you how to navigate every attraction/ride that has a turnstile. I also have more Dia & Co unboxings and soon I will have an unboxing and try on video for several different clothing companies. I am also working towards my goal of purchasing Universal Studios annual passes before April 2019 (if purchased by 4/4 I will get 6 more months free!). I hope to bring viewers all four Disney parks and the the Disney water parks as well as both Universal Parks and the Universal water park in 2019. I am really excited about how this community is growing and becoming a positive place for Plus Size people and I can't wait to bring you more amazing videos. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you so much. It really is a labor of love. I love Disney, theme parks, travel and fashion -- the fact that people are willing to let me share that with them is amazing. Even though it takes hours and hours and hours of hard work -- it is also a lot of fun and very rewarding to know that people are enjoying the videos and that the videos even help people. Hearing that the videos helped people is the best thing ever.
Omg..I just discovered you on RU-vid and I have been binge watching ! I love you and your vids! I want to go to Disney World with you! I'm divorced and need a Disney buddy ! I'm plus sized as well and I LOVE DIA AND CO, TOO! I watched your Dia and Co vids and try ons. I loved those, as well! I just want to hang out with you and be your friend! Lol.. You seem like such a sweet person. I am a fan!
You are a stinker!!! Good job baiting me for the next video!! Lol. Ok... I vote the cat shirt!! Love that they have some classic characters we don't get to see often. Us older folks....ahem...really like seeing our generations repped too!! Great video. I am SOOOO glad I missed that store or would have blown all my money there on my trip!!
Good thing I had a budget or I would have bought all of them! But you know, it's a good position to be in. Back in 2010 I felt excited that they started carrying both the classic v-neck Mickey tee AND a shirt that had the year on it in women's plus sizes. Woo Hoo! TWO whole shirts in plus sizes. That was a big deal. Disney has come a long way and it is great to see how many more choices we have. I am certainly grateful to be in the tough position of trying to figure out what top I want. It's nice to have choices.
I hope the shirts work for you too. I know that if you go to shopDisney and use their chat feature, a Customer Service Rep can actually go into the website and pull out a list of things all in your specific sizes up to a unisex/men's 5x. If you aren't already using the chat feature in the shop, this may save you time in the future.
