It would be fabulous for the American pavilion to have a sit-down location where you could eat regional dishes from all over the country.

xingcat uh. Why not American food?
@xingcat
@xingcat 6 лет назад
Oh, sorry if I didn't say it right...I meant from all over the US, like Southern food and maybe some California cuisine and Pacific Northwest maybe, etc. Like a culinary trip around America.

@@xingcat Yes! Couldn't agree more! When I went to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC they had a restaurant like that and it was wonderful!

Man, the America Pavilion is just so blah! They could do some really cool, fun items here like, loaded baked potatoes or loaded hot dogs! Or even some BBQ - brisket sandwiches, pulled pork. So many things they could do here. That being said, I'm going to guess most of our American guests would rather try more 'exotic', exciting options at the other pavilions anyway. Thanks for the video!

alicia Probably a great spot for picky eaters but for the rest of us... well, they have a bathroom

alicia We never Stop in American Pavilion except for a Bathroom in between Character spots or something. One time, they featured New Orleans Food during Food and wine fest and that was Only time we ate somewhere in that area. My mom loves Funnel cakes, so if line isn't too long, we get one for her.

Our gift to the world is BBQ. I'd trade all that food in for one good barbeque restaurant.

Excellent video, as usual. Sadly, for us, the American pavilion is, by far, the least inspiring pavilion in terms of food at World Showcase. Kiosk city. There's so, SO much that can be done in terms of regional foods. Home cooking/BBQ from the South, Tex Mex from the Southwest, seafood from the Northeast/Pacific NW, Chicago and New York pizzas, etc. I know that they have made feeble attempts at adding some regional fare, but Disney has majorly dropped the ball for decades at our own pavilion. Really sad, disappointing, and confusing at the same time. But you did a great job at highlighting everything and being honest at the same time.

The American pavilion really needs a Table Service restaurant. I don’t understand why the American pavilion is the only pavilion without one.

Hey AJ-This is totally unrelated to this video but I just had to let you and everyone know that Publix grocery stores have mini mango pies very similar to the ones at Yak and Yeti's Local food cafes in thier bakeries! It was 4.99 just like the one in disney but without the price of a park ticket. So great to get a "fix" in between park visits.

I have not been able to go to Disney for several years but I remember a fried ice cream kiosk in the American Pavilion area as well.

I like visiting this area during Food and Wine Fest. In 2009, it featured food from New Orleans (My Home). Its cool that they pick different States every year to serve food from.

My late husband and I always waned to go to the F&WF, but could never get time off together at that time of year. He passed in 2014 and when my son and I went to Epcot in 2015, by pure dumb luck, we went during the Festival. We had no idea it was running so late. It was wonderful. Not only was it my first F&WF, but it was during my birthday. We had lobster rolls. I would love to have foods from different areas of the USA. I would die for them to have a legitimate NOLA gumbo. I would even bring my own file'. I would even drive the 203 mile round trip in one day, which we've done once and is not my favorite, but certainly better than not going at all. We have a favorite seafood restaurant in Kissimmee/Orlando I like to go to. It's very expensive for us, but it's only once per year, so we splurge. Only time we missed them was the round trip in a day. I won't name them here because it would be too rude to WDW.

Wow, never knew there was a counter-service restaurant in American Pavilion...glad I never knew, now! Surprised they don’t have a lobster roll on their menu like Columbia Harbor House does in Magic Kingdom.

Hi AJ! I have really enjoyed this series of videos, since EPCOT is my husband’s and my favorite place to get food in the parks! 😋 I am curious if you are going to take on the colossal task of ranking all the EPCOT dining locations as you did for other theme parks? We would LOVE to see your opinions on that. Thanks for considering!

Ate in the counter service restaurant many years ago. The burgers were so bad, we never ate there again. Now I'm sorry I didn't check their menu every trip. Sorry I missed the steak. It didn't look bad and on a bun might have been a great sandwich. The fried shrimp might betempting, b ut I cn get fried shrimp and fries anywhere (outside WDW) for less money.

Great job, as always,. AJ thanx! I have never - not once - eaten anywhere in the American Pavilion, because it is SO pathetic. I think this is a horrible portrayal of what "we" eat here in this county - especially to tourists outside of the US. As others have said - such a wonderful opportunity to showcase fantastic, interesting, regional cuisines!! Food & Beverage should be totally ashamed of themselves for this one!!

Liberty Inn.. site of the worst dining experience I've ever had at Disney. I like fast food, so it's not like I'm anti-fast food! I wish some space had been allocated to a sit down a la Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom. Could be a regional theme, like Cajun food. Something! Something more inspired from our host country! What a missed opportunity in my opinion.

The American pavilion is boring as far as food goes. If I'm not mistaken, they're the only pavilion that doesn't have a sit down restaurant. Which I think is crazy! This country has alot of unique foods to offer. This would be a prime location to showcase American cuisine.
@mattbalfe7148

The American Pavilion is the skipover pavilion. It drastically needs a makeover. Aside from the performance stage, there is nothing there that attracts you. Shouldn’t be the case. And by far the worst food.

Liberty Inn is.definately not amazing. DH insisted on having our EPCOT quick service meal here back in 2015. They had a Grilled chicken BLT which should have been good. It tasted okay, but the bun completely fell apart after two bites so I took a bite of DH's hot dog. I didn't realize it was topped with baked beans. Hot dogs are great. Baked beans are great. Beanies and weenies are great. You would think a hot dog topped with baked beans would be great. It was not. That pretty much summed up our meal at Liberty Inn. Not Great.

Not saying anything wrong with it. But unless its that rare and old time candy stuff ... you can get American food anywhere. If your going to be in World Showcase why not try something you can't anywhere else. Thats all I was trying to say
@keithdean9149
@keithdean9149 6 лет назад
Most people would like the American Pavilion to serve more regional American Foods, things you don't normally get in "your" part of the USA. They could have different types of barbecue ( Texas Brisket, North Carolina Pulled Pork, Kansas City Ribs), lobster rolls and clam chowder from New England, Salmon dishes from the Pacific Northwest, even Chicago and New York style pizzas or maybe a Po' Boy from New Orleans. Heck, even a 2 piece fried chicken could work.

Hello - It provides offerings that may be 'new' to others who travel from other countries to visit Disney World. It could also provide comfort food - for those who may have been enjoying new eateries but want a snack or meal that is a little more laid back or traditional to what we may be accustomed to...
