This is amazing to me! I'm guessing there are lower reviews due to the construction. Right now, you can't get on or off the monorail at the Polynesian, even though it is a monorail resort.

No love for Boardwalk or Beach Club villas?!? Walking distance to TWO parks! Boardwalk has the best point chart that’s out there! These people got it totally wrong

If you take inflation into account, the hotels at the WDW Resort still costs as twice as it should.

@@DRush76 I agree for monorail resports, but not All Stars. I've been able to get All Star rooms for about $100/night when not during holidays and that is very comparable to non-Disney hotels....plus the All Stars don't have a resort fee like many non-Disney hotels do.

My two favorites made the list! Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge are amazing! One is our home resort, we are working on a second DVC contract for the other. ❤You can't beat how beautiful they both are.

I feel like DVC resorts should be their own category. I know you can often get rooms there as non-members but it's still a totally different thing since they are often suites.

Wow, no Grand Floridan. I love the Rivera and WL. I am excited for a 2nd stay at the Rivera this summer. And some day in the future I hope to save up my DVC points for a stay in the WL Cabins.😎👍🏻

Luxury is being a DVC owner and stay at Bay Lake Tower instead of staying at Contemporary... then use the restaurants and stores but not have the commotion. The order should be Floridian, Poly, Contemporary... if you want to rank the “most expensive.” I wouldn’t say Riviera and Jambo house make this list. Disney is having a hard time selling DVC contracts at Riviera, and Animal Kingdom rooms are run down and among cheapest points per night.

I think they are comparing the non-dvc pricing. Riviera is really expensive, especially when you consider what you gfet for that price would be a much fancier hotel in other locations. A closet in a corner of the building that does not even have enough space for a queen bed and a table (the bed is a murphy bed so it is in the wall if you want a table) is several hundred dollars a night. Riviera contracts are hard sells since the secondary market is bad for them because they are so restricive. A resale means the buyer will ONLY get to book rooms in the Riviera in the future. Points won't transfer to any of the other resorts. That keeps a lot of would-be owners from purchasing.

I’m thinking of taking my parent to Disney World to celebrate a couple of milestones, and although I’m a notorious pinchpenny… I _kinda_ wouldn’t mind splitting a nine-day vacation between the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Contemporary Resort… provided our Contempo room was on a high enough floor not to hear the din from the cafe downstairs.

I'm not that impressed by the decor for the Riviera Resort. It's almost bland and could easily be mistaken for one of the hotels just outside of the resort grounds. The decor for actual hotels on the French and Italian Rivieras are more immersive than the Riviera.

My biggest problem with the Rivera is the fact that the most reasonably priced rooms (non-deluxe studio rooms) only have a murphy bed because there is no room for a bed and table! You are literally in the space of a large closet on a corner.

I just stayed at the contemporary about 2 weeks ago and I loved it ! I’ve heard a lot of people say it’s too loud in the morning, however me and my family NEVER heard a thing in the morning and we were on the end right above chef Mickey’s we woke up a 9am every morning feeling refreshed !!! Also we never heard any of the work going on on the other side of the resort ..9.5/10

We stayed at Contemporary about 13 years ago..love closeness to MK...sat on balcony with binoculors and watched parade practice after midnight...fun!! Hated the vessel type sinks. Didnt drain and my 5 year old couldnt spit into it...had to get on a suitcase to reach the sink!! Maybe thats changed by now!!

Me and my family are planning a trip in Oct 21 we will be staying at art of animation and contemporary this will be our first time staying on Disney property, we are looking forward to our visit.

I'm guessing it is due to the construction, but I agree. It is MUCH better than the Riviera. I prefer the Contemporary for location but Poly is my second favorite (not that I would mind staying at either ;) ).

Our upcoming stay at Riviera in June is putting a hole in my pocket. Oh well, doing it for the kids. Tried to get Animal Kingdom but of course it was sold out.

My family and I are going in June as well and we use points to stay in the swan and Dolphin. It saves so much money and they are right by everything! They are both beautiful resorts as well:)

I know one person who will only stay at the gGrand Floridian. Another will only stay at Bay Lake. Another only at the Polynesian. Personally I think you can't beat the bargain of the Yacht club if you are a bigger EPCOT fan and want the fantastic pool

I'd love to stay at the Yacht Club, but my travel agent has always been able to get better rates at the Contemporary. (Of course, I LOVE the Contemporary, so no issues there!)

@@JuniperMB Really?! We get military discounts on rooms but the only comparable rate between the 2 resorts was if I took the Garden Wing at Contemporary-of course that is not a balcony/theme park view! Taking that view one time undiscounted was definitely worth it though

I can see how AK is nice for locals on a staycation. but it is SO far from everything. you are stuck with busses & can't walk to any parks! Beach Club is MUCH better. its right in the middle of everything and is very nice with a myriad of dining options within a short walk. also, that pool!

TBH Grand Floridian has been going down in quality. The last time a friend stayed there, the place wasn't cleaned well (just before COVID). The staff also wasn't very helpful.

The Beach or Yacht Club Resorts. A walkway right into Epcot’s World Showcase and a short boat ride to Disney Studios. So so convenient!

Lots of speculation, but no one has heard anything definitive one way or another. Sadly the Boo Bash is stated as NOT having fireworks, and that runs from August through October, so it is looking more and more unlikely.
