i've been there last june and we are going next may again :) i cant wait cos i am so in love with disneyland! ..when i heard the music i cryed like a child lol
Great video! I'm going to DLRP two weeks today and I couldn't be more excited! I was watching your video to get me back inot the Disney spirit - wonderful video.
I love the queue for this ride. Maybe that's just because I'm English and apparently we like queues, but it's just so real and it makes me feel like I am a pirate.
In Disneyland, every adult will feel like a child again. Each area of the park and each ride and show will amaze you. So yes, everything in Disneyland is fun for adults too. I've even seen some parents that were enjoying themselves more then their children. Just let your worries of live go when visiting the park and let yourself surround in a cloud of pixie dust. ;-) :-p
I'm going here in February this is my little sisters favourite ride she was three when she was there four now and she can't wait to go on it :) great video
Awesome job Dave. Best video recording I have seen for the "Pirates" ride. Been to DW in Florida twice. Planning Disney Paris trip next spring. Thank you...
Its always interesting to see how other park's rides differ from our own. As a frequent flyer at Disneyland, California, I can honestly say that seeing this version of the ride was cool. Both versions of the ride has their pros and cons. I would say Disneyland has more content in the ride, and (for me at least) the scenes were all out of order. However the line for the ride was pretty cool. Reminded me more of our Indiana Jones line than our Pirates. The Paris ride had a few things I thought were pretty cool that we don't have, such as the rope swinging pirate, and the sword fighting pirates. Either way, its a fun video. Thank you for sharing it.
This video doesn't do it much justice to be fair, lots of the content is missed. Also, the scenes are in the correct order in Paris - the scene order was changed to correct the mistake. Also, Paris's version of the ride is twice as long as any other version of Pirates, just a fun fact! :)
Lewis Wood When did they change the order? I know that this version has the original ideas and did not change its ways because the public didn't like certain themes from the original ride. The bad thing about DLP is how everything is in French. I know the park is in France, but a lot of people from all over Europe come to the park and the most spoken language is German - BUT, quickly behind is English. The second most spoken language in the world is English (first is Chinese, but due to immense Chinese population)...So, wouldn't it make more sense to have the rides in English so that people from everywhere can enjoy it? Italian is even more widely-spoken than French! Some of the characters in the park don't even speak French -.-' I remember going on this when I was 6 in 2002 and it being a very long ride, still my favourite! :D
Wonderful job on the video! I've only experienced the Walt Disney World version in Florida and I'm remotely familiar with the original one at Disneyland in California but I can clearly see that Paris has the best one by far.
i went to disneyland paris in 2002 xD I was in year 4 at the time and this was my favorate ride of all =D, there was just so much goin on in there i loved it, i stayed for a week and i went on it atleast twice a day =P
Im going to disneyland tomorrow morning at 4:30 am for five days! I can't wait and Ive been on this ride before and it was really fun and scary abd when they dive you into the water abd I got drenched!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW!!
I remember when i went to disney land paris! it was amszing! this was one of my fav rides! thanks for reminding me of how great it is there! i must go again! :)
there are drops, only 2 i think, but they are not steep or sudden at all, more like gliding. They're not high up either she'll have nothing to worry about! It's a great ride and a lot of fun xx
Disneyland :D Love that place, have been there 10 times ;D aand I still go there.. This ride is personally my favourite.. I also got stuck on this ride once xD Was kinda fun, and we got an extra ride because of it! ((:
Wow! Fantastic Davey. My first and only visit to the park unfortunately was not pleasant. I ended up getting sick on the Indiana Jones Ride and it screwed up the balance of my day. I never made it to Pirates! Thanks for posting. If you have the dark rides on film it would be super!
One of my favourite went on this ride 13 times last times went it's amazing except from it broke down but Yeh I got Tim turner I my photo that's a keeper !!
I want to go here again, went when i was six and went to the paris one when i was 5...i am now 16!! luckily i am at college now so could go when all of the kids are at school.
My girlfriend and I are going to Paris next May and I can't wait to ride a version of Pirates that is free of Jack Sparrow! And sorry Pirate's Lair, but you only wish you could be Adventure Isle.
Personnaly, this version has very cool walk from the entrance to the boats. The only matter in this version is the efefct were was already off (the first lift have a chain out since 3 years, the duelist was already HS, and the water effect and cannon effect was sometime functionning
we went in 2007, after going at the ride my mum was determined to eat at the restaurant you see on the ride but it was fully booked, so she flirted her way to get a table:)
Magic Kingdom does have a drop but not a very big one. This is all to do with water levels. The ride in Paris was built on three different levels and you need the drops to access the other floors, however the one in florida i believe is all on one level
It looked like the ride was going backwards. XD The treasure cove part in Anaheim was first and when the city was on fire, it was last. There really are differences in these parks XD
the drops at the one in disneyland are only there because there wasn't enough room for the ride because the disneyland railroad (or something like that) is on top of it :)
i remember i went on this ride a few years ago and we sat in the front of the boat. On the second waterfall we got so wet that when we were walking out a person at the exit asked if we fell in!!!
@superstarjonesbros Jack Sparrow adds an unneeded story to the ride. Marc Davis always said that Disneyland rides don't convey a story, they convey an experience. Plus, Jack was after the original attraction opened.
See I hate rides like rollercoasters, so as soon as I heard the ride going up, I shit myself. But then after is was all over, I`ve never had that fear again.
De daling zijn wel snel, maar niet heel erg heftig. Het ligt er ook vooral aan wat uw dochter gewend is. Mijn zusje van 5 vond het wel eng, maar heeft erg genoten van de rest van de attractie. :-)
@davey1986 Oh no...that was another one.. the one i'm talking about was one hell of a scary ride.. and a great experience! I saw it in 1998..they probably changed it to this pirates of the carribean ride.. cuz it wasn't there then..
