Lincoln looks like a southern school playing football in cali. So scrappy, yet so efficient. The boys you can see on film put their whole heart. I really just loved those extra tackles by lincoln.
Lincoln Hornets State Champs so honored and blessed to see this team win a state title. Coach DUNN Coach Carter have built a power house that can hopefully stay together. This team was scrappy discipline and fun too watch. Go Hornets.
As a Lincoln alumni Iam proud of these young men the adversity they went Thur all year.and even off the field they carried them self and spoke well but we’re a beast on the field.shout out to the coaching staff and the men in there lives molding them into young men Hornets! State championship.PS people don’t realize that team they beat has a historical program and probably could beat any other team in California but this was Lincoln night.don’t sleep on San Diego hs football mater dei catholic of Chula Vista also won a state championship
As a NorCal guy and DLS fan, it's definitely bittersweet. On the one hand, the rest of Cali (outside of the NCS and Northern Section) have caught up to the Spartans and are no longer afraid of them. On the other hand, DLS can't seem to win a meaningful game anymore.
Yeah So Cal took over the State for the last 5 years but it goes in waves Bakersfield won back in 2014 Central California was strong at one point also but as a whole California is the best in the World.
Yeah this loss really stung, DLS played solid the 1st half and was leading 14-7. I thought it was going to be a low scoring defensive battle, kinda like the Folsom game 17-14 score. It's a shame DLS lost, but I think those kids should still be proud of this season, they made it all the way to the state and just barely lost to a really good San Diego team. DLS did not have a great season, but yet they still played great football during the playoffs. And hey, look at the bright side, Pittsburg still can't beat DLS after 30 years lol.
@@justinexplainseverything1554 Pitt always has talent. Always. It is probably the most talent laden public school for raw athletes in Northern California, along with Grant of Sacramento. Galli was simply unable to mold it into a program capable of beating DLS. I don't know how much of it has to do with the city of Pittsburg itself. Kids may be trying to get out of there as much as possible. So going to Liberty or Freedom or DLS is probably seen as a win for some kids. The other EBAL schools like Monte Vista were competitive with DLS long ago, but they seem to have thrown up the towel. DLS essentially destroyed NCS D-I, and have gotten a bad rap because the section is seen as very weak. At least Serra can be beaten regularly by the other schools in the WCAL.
Lincoln is one of the best teams to come out of San Diego in a long time. Destroying the Division 2 CIF Southern Section champions is a testament to that. Defeating DLS was impressive as well.
One thing People never clue into about Lincoln is that so many kids are in transit. "IF" Lincoln is somehow able to retain kids from Pop Warner to Graduation, look for this happen more often.
Sounds a lot like Grant up here in the Sac Region. The Junior Pacers is a marquee program but the school probably loses 30% of its talent to neighboring schools. Even with that Grant just won a title as well. Grant vs Lincoln in 2023!
Refs should be ashamed of themselves for calling that a complete pass for DLS on the their last drive on the Hornets sideline around the 20🤦🏾♂️ His entire body was out....
@@igamirsmad5488 If they blew the whistle I understand but none of the refs blew the whistle. That's why they had a conference to decide what happened. You can also tell by the reaction of the De La Salle defensive lineman that stripped the ball. Lincoln scored on the next play and changed the course of the game because they won by less than a touchdown.
Man oh man DLS has regressed a lot. I don't know what coach Alabum and Kennion are doing up there but they were extremely sloppy at 5:13 the dumb onside kick 16:50 and from 20:00 onwards just lot of bad snaps or fumbles going on.
Looks like they're straying from the veer trying to become more spread run n gun. That's the direction the game is going but doesn't seem right for DLS
He’s injured. Played the last 6 games including the playoffs on a 50% leg. (Hamstring) trust and believe he has speed and would’ve broke all those runs if healthy. Go look at his first 5 games of this year and look at his break away speed when he was 100%. Wasn’t even close!
