I'm not sure if you were trying to catch melody at the end there or help push her off! :) Does the game have anything to compensate for 12 players increasing the probability that the story teller will always score points no matter how obvious or obscure the clue?
My friends and I weren't pleased with the pegs either. The scoring system was an improvement, we thought, but the voting system sucked. I really like the two player game also.
Hmm. Party game. Means many players, often people you don't know at all or don't know well. One storyteller per round. Hmm. With a lot of people you won't get to be the storyteller very much. So you'll spend most of your time picking one of your 6 cards to match the given clue, which doesn't really provide a lot of choice, since if there's any correspondence at all it's likely to be just one card that stands out making it obvious. And then you get to decide what was the original, only marginally better than random chance, since all the cards are deliberately vague/obscure. No, it plays better as a three person game, so you get more opportunity to be the storyteller. I'd give this one a pass, if this is what is considered a good "party game" I'd be ready to go back to Charades...
