Worst hitmen in Hollywood. Almost every round fired into the car engine block? They not allowed to shoot into the windows? The combat rolls out of the shot-up car are about the best thing about this scene. Good show, ladies!
You should watch this little arthouse film called "Star Wars" some time. There are these guys in it called "Stormtroopers". They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Everyone keeps talking about the unrealistic gunfight with the car but I'm wondering how it's under 30 degrees out and homie doesn't need to wear a hat. My ears would be frozen solid.
People confuse normal cars in films with armored Embassy cars. Normal cars, especially ones built after 2015, are only a little better than fibreglass kit cars.
There's only one problem with REACHER this season. All the episodes are too short! Take out the re-cap and the credits and this episode was under 40 minutes. :(
Just came here to point out that when the last guy falls down, blood comes out of one of the shots in his butt. That's great attention to squib detail, folks. Well done! Definitely one for the squib books!
I just assumed the blood on his body was CGI. A lot of blood effects in TV shows and movies are digital now like all the blood sprays from head shots in the John Wick movies.
@@kbrich-nn8od I think it was when they shot out the tire? @user-sz2ri2yb3p (nice username) yeah, they always hide behind the car door. . .wouldn't it go through eventually or right away? The squibs were good, though.
Are you suggesting this series is NOT a documentary? Well, that's ruined my day. No point in watching the remaining episodes now. Sigh. Ah well, back to Fox News then..... @@OptimusWombat
Putting this scene aside for a moment, I had a hard time believing the slain trucker (shot earlier by the gang) would've seriously stopped to assist them, or that he wasn't escorted given the hazardous cargo.
I like the way they portrayed your boy just praying and spraying as he ran away while the agents were taking aim as they slowly moved forward. Basic tactical maneuver, but still a nice portrayal. I personally would have went prone next to the car, but to each his own.
My question is, if the only semi-protected part of the car is the engine block, why did the bad guys concentrate their fire at the one place where the poor rental car provided some protection? Would have to think that if I was the bad guy i would concentrate my fire through the windshield, the side doors or anywhere but the engine block? Plus the stupid way the last guy effectuated a "fighting run retreat" was pretty stupid. He got shot to pieces....
They started with the windshield (0:49). When the car reverses and turns (0:57), the bad guys shoot the doors (which are apparently bulletproof, or the ladies got real lucky with the angles). There's a few seconds when the car is offscreen, and when we get back, we can see the bad guys popped the right-side tires (1:12). Like Firstname said, they wanted to stop the ladies. It's not like either of them could outrun a bullet. Especially with three guys who can flank them. The last guy clearly panicked. Even trained pros do that, sometimes. Especially when he's exposed, facing two enemies who have cover AND concealment, and he just watched his enemies drop two of his friends with excellent shooting. It's also possible he didn't expect them to be armed.
@@jamesrawlins735 I'm real tired of people who say anything less than perfect competence is 'plot armor' because it's easier to feel smug than to actually think.
This episode was terrible. This scene was fake and the cemetery scene was dumb. As anyone watching this series, thinking that some of the characters/scenes are CGI? Not really liking this show at the moment. Might stop watching.
Yeah, I feel the same way. The graveyard was awful - the least they could have done was have the killers "miss" a shot because someone stepped in the way. Then maybe a graze, but definitely not having them run straight at two guys with rifles. Not to mention the attitude of that one hitmen They threw me off a bit too with those horrific scenes. The biker gang was another one - so stupid and all they need is a simple but clever way to start a fight without guns. The house thing was fine, but it seems they can't decide where to go with it. Give a thug a vest to illustrate the need for headshots and how difficult it can be under pressure, or have two people disappear in broad daylight under heavy fire in a cramped space just to emerge with perfect timing, headshots and than that stupid engage towards the guy with the automated rifle, who turned from "professional" to "hysteric" the same way as the hitmen from the graveyard.
I'm not getting the hate here. Compared to the steady diet of trash Hollywood's been feeding us, this show is a breath of fresh air. Relax, everyone and enjoy it. This is escapism as it's supposed to be.
Basic things about gun fights. The car really stands out. The moment the side got lit up it would have been game over for anyone in there, especially with rifle rounds at least one of the guys was shooting.
While I like the show and like the escapism, no one with a military or law enforcement background ever likes to sit quietly while Hollywood heroes take cover behind unarmored car doors. Only an engine black can stop most bullets. Most. And if you are in an EV? Even a longbow can shoot through an EV. That's not hate. Dang, if someone fell out of an airplane without a parachute and landed on their feet, would that be escapism or silly? Only Jaws ever got away with that (Moonraker)!
@@hammill444 Agree. Watching the women fighting the bad guys and with the same skills and strength as Reacher is woke-ism and sucks. It makes Reacher less of the anomaly that made his character great in the books. And girls CANNOT fight men. Never can, never will. Especially Army accountants in dresses. Sheeesh!
@@hammill444 You have a strong male lead, females aren't OP, interesting story, no "down with the patriarchy" bullshit no "CRT" overtones. The wokeness factor is almost non-existent, and that is huge.
What's up? I watched clips of season one and was intrigued enough to watch a few episodes. I'm watching clips of season 2 and something's...off. It already seems repetitive and unrealistic. Anyone else recommend giving it a try, anyway????
Well you have to factor in that the dudes bought their bullets off Amazon and the quality wasn't there. This is why 80 shots could not make it through the door skins.
Whisper it, but this show jumped the shark into nonsense early in Season 1. The strongest plot armour any characters have ever worn. There is zero jeopardy, and therefore very little genuine entertainment.
Not even science fiction worthy. Physically impossible to squirrel your way through the back seat into the trunk with two large females in the few seconds it took before the hijackers looked into the vehicle. UNLESS you were the Flash. Moreover, that would have to be practiced a great deal just to get it down to a "timely manner". The writers have a very, very vivid imagination. Maybe they write the plot lines for the Coyote and Roadrunner too.
A scene consisting entirely of plot armour and misrepresentation of weapon capabilities. The 1980s A-Team series called; they want their action scene back.
It is a movie, people, you know, make believe. almost everything in movies like this bs, yet you all get upset and go, oh, they should be dead with 3 guys shooting at the car. 😂😂😂
Pretty unrealistic. Guys empty about a 100 rounds in a car and hit nothing. Then too stupid to form a defensive perimeter. Just so little thought given to the scenes. Very disappointing. btw, ever try to get into a trunk while folks are ventilating the car? Just silly.
@@clemssss On the contrary. I don't need films to be "politically correct" by showing women acting like men and kicking men's arses around. If they get your fetishes aroused, enjoy! 🤪🤣
Episode 5 was so bad. Jesus christ. The choreography was really bad in this scene. Pretty generic bullshit. Walking up to a car and just firing blind is quite pathetic. Especially when you lose to pistols when you have automatic weapons. I just hope the next episode will be better.
