I made this super easy beret with a ribbon bow on the back! It's so simple and easy that even you could make one. If you do follow along and if you get the same fabric as mine it's better if you stretch the hat a tiny bit where you sewed it to give it a bit of a poofy look or else it will look really flat and unflattering on your head.

Just curious, but when you were sewing the ribbon, did you only sew the bottom edge that was near the edge of the felt and not the top as well? Would it be better to get some wide ribbon and sort of encase the raw edge? Like sew the top part of the ribbon, fold it over the raw edge and sew that bottom part as well?

I love this tutorial! thank you, it would be perfect for a beginner like me. i can probably can make a sailor hat by using white fabric and blue ribbon :^) Does if fall off without elastic, or is it fine without it? thanks!

That sounds super cool! And it would only need elastic if the hole was cut a bit bigger by mistake but for me it fits great and no elastic was used! :D

I just found this video and I’m interested in making it. However, may I know what type of felt fabric you used? There is no hobby lobby where I live and I was hoping you could specify whether your felt is 100% cotton, craft, etc. Thank you for this lovely video and I’m excited to make it!

angelly_ chan I used black Felt Fabric from a craft store I got about 1 yard for this project but ended up using less. I have a link in the description of the materials I used if you want to check it out! :)

Ah, I also want to ask, what type of ribbon did you use for the hat? There's different types (like satin, grosgrain etc) and I don't know which one to get. Thanks in advance!

hand wash it or spot clean it and lay flat to dry. Machine wash and dryer will ruin it.

Yo creo que usa tela fieltro pañolenci porque tengo de ese nose como le dirán en casa país pero en el mío se pide así es muy lindo material para hacer desde boinas hasta muñecos. Ojalá te haya Sido de ayuda saludos ❤
