Home made body butter used for tattooing. Easy, Cheap, and one of the best products for tattooing. Turn hard to use Coconut Oil into easy to use body butter. Multipurpose body butter that can also be used for aftercare.
So cool. His recipe is 2:1 (2 parts shea butter and 1 part coconut oil). At 11:50, he melts them together in a double boiler, cools it and whips it. Worth the watch.
Been using the Palmers original and Palmers raw Shea coconut formula 2 years now, best stuff I have found with excellent healed results, also cheaper than the "Tattoo approved" products, and I've tried them all! Great vid man.
It is great stuff. Even better when you mix it with the coconut oil. It just makes it go further. Makes it real fluffy. Everyone likes it. Even if they aren't using it for their tattoos. I've given it away as little gifts to people. I keep little containers of it on hand to give to people who want to sample it. Best thing I've used.
Tattoo butters are so expensive, I'm glad I found your video! Quick question - can I add vaseline to the recipe to make the consistency a bit more solid and harder to melt while working? I feel like it may start melting and slipping off my glove
Fantastic! - - I have always had troubles with vaseline or any products 'like' that. When i would go to get a tattoo i would take my own homemade lotions and bandage materials. When i started doing tattoo work myself - I use Raw Shea Butter and coconut oil and vitaminE that i have always had in my home. Recently a friend of mine who works in a shop asked what i use because the tattoos heal so well and look so clean and bright. I never have red skin; - nor do any of my friends or clients. Happy that you have put this up to share with other people - - -You can get 100% Pure Shea Butter by MAIGA - there are also nice ones available on Amazon if one has to buy on line.
I absolutely love this stuff I am making my second batch and the women and my family absolutely love it too they said it helps with the wrinkles in the skin as well they use it daily thank you so much
I use it on my beard. My wife uses it on her legs. I have been giving it away to people I tattooed. Give them a little container of it. They came back and said the same thing happens. Once they find out how good it is they use it for all kinds of stuff. Usually the wife or girlfriends steal it for themselves.
Hey! Thanks so much for this idea. I'm starting to follow your recipe. I have a few questions: how much vitamine E should I add? & Can I do it with out a freezer (just room temperature)? And where do you keep it, does it need to be stored in the fridge or can I also store it at room temperature without getting bad?
Can store at room temperature. I don't add vitamin E so that would be your choice. Start with small amount and add if you want. Freezer is a must for me to get the fluffy consistency.
hi ! fist i wanna thank you for all of you video, you do help A LOT , and it's always well explain ! now i have a question about this reciepe...is it ok if i use the coconut oil (same as yours) but NOT organic ?
Should work. It's a personal choice. Some people just want to get as natural as possible. The idea when I was doing this was to use as little ingredients as possible and keep it natural.
I just tried making some and after it cooled off it didn't get stiff again. I'm wondering if I heated it too much. It stayed about the consistency of mayonnaise when it is at room temperature. I didn't use a double boil method. I just put it straight on the heat so I'm thinking it started breaking down the oils more.
I haven't strayed away from the original method so haven't run into problems like this. Someone else mentioned it seperated again afterwards. I wish I could help but haven't seen this for myself
I have not had any issues. I use this for tattooing and I also give it to people. They use it for all sorts of things. There have been no complaints yet. That being said you could have problems with anything you use. Just be careful and look for signs that someone could have a reaction to it. You should do this with every client. If you see any redness or swelling stop and clean of the area with soap and water. Clients could have a reaction to something you are using. Including the tattoo ink.
Coconut is one of those things that people usually aren't allergic to. In case they are I would use something different. This can happen with anything you use while tattooing. If you see a reaction you need to stop using it.
@@TattooUniversity I did make a nice amount, I filled a hustle butter container and did a few tats and it worked great, but I did order some premium grade fragrance oil. So I will be making another batch in about an hour with the oil, Hopefully it smells better
you don't need to add those things. If you do it would be your discretion. I wouldn't add to much because you will loosen up the mix. It might not stick to your gloves or the skin while you tattoo. You don't want it runny. It works because it stays chunky until you need it to melt.
@@pawela2842 you are going to have to test that out. Start small and add a little more if you feel it needs it. Coconut oil is natural preservative so it does good job on its own.
Tattoo University ok i just give few drops of glicerin and wit e, maybe 10 each for box shea butter and two times more coconut oil. That will help to preserve? And maybe store in fridge?
