Bro, idk if you realize just how fast this car is going to be with a 2J...it's going to absolutely kill the VG30DETT as far as performance and reliability is concerned. I've never owned a 300, but it's one of my bucket list cars. I've owned 53 cars since I was 14 and I have never owned a proper rear wheel drive sportscar, but I want a 300Z (or 350, 370, etc) someday. This car is going to be nuts once it's properly tuned. Hell, even on a standard tune (once it's tuned to run properly) this car is going to be a weapon. Hopefully you have a good suspension and brake package lined up for it because it's going to need it.
With how much of the JZ is built yt would kill a stock VG30dett but stock for stock the the vg30 would kill the JZ, not trying to ride the engines dick but they're actually really good, and asling as they're maintained properly they'll run forever, and once built they can make stupid ammouts of power
dude! so glad to see the progress! Are you going to end up running the radiator forward of the engine, stock location looks like it would be a unable to cool itself nightmare. Can't wait to see the turbo that you got.
13:44 Just get a foot long rubber hose section cut at Autozone or Advanced auto, cut it to size ya need,slide some soft brake line/copper line into the rubber hose and bend it for the shape you need it to be, so it will keep its shape,and not crimp it shut
Man this thing is coming out so clean! The driver front tire looks pretty close to the piping, does it clear with it at full lock or is it just the camera angle?
How did you select the pipe diameter? And aftercooler specifics? Im struggling to understand how you know what diameter piping you need without explaining the aftercooler/throttle body/ compressor specifics/plenum specifics... what about BOV type/rating and placement to work well with piping diameter/closed throttle shockwave dynamics/compressor flow rate? Or did u buy coolest looking stuff on ebay and believe that tscuu tscuu tscuuuuu BOV sound is good? At least your trying I guess. Vid contains 0 useful info tho sorry.
Dude, quit putting yourself down. Yes we know a shop would have better potential and the videos would maybe be better but when we’re watching, absolutely no one is thinking that.
