Struggling with a sensitive scar or recovering from nerve injury? This video features Joanna Spivack, OTR/L, CHT, demonstrating a simple, DIY desensitization kit created by a physical therapy student to help manage these concerns.

HOW TO USE IT:
Start with light rubbing - Gently rub the dowel on and around the sensitive area for 30 seconds.
Progress to tapping - If tolerated, tap the area with the dowel for another 30 seconds.
Gradually increase intensity - Introduce different fabric textures throughout the session, working your way up to more stimulating ones.
Listen to your body - Stop if you experience any discomfort or increased sensitivity.
BENEFITS:

Promotes sensory reeducation after nerve damage.
Easy and affordable to make at home.
