This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time! My house is near the woods also and I never had the motivation to do it. Seeing this video gave me inspiration and now I'm going to ask my dad to help me DIY a place where I can be alone and be creative!

I love everything about this! Reminds me of what I would do in the expansive woods behind my childhood home. Try some solar lighting! I also recommend painting with glow paint on non-living surfaces (ie the desk, chairs, stepping stones, ect)-- I used to leave secrets all over that could only be seen at night. Maybe a hammock? I used to tie long ribbons and string to branches all around my clearing, sometimes birds would even pick at them for their nests and I could identify them when I explored the woods. :)

I have one of these! 😊😊 it was fun to make and I found a waterfall & creek nearby! I also found snails, mushrooms, and a bunch of baby mice. And a snake. I was so happy

You really should!! It's been about 3 weeks since I made mine and it has seriously been so incredibly lovely!! Adding new little touches, taking care of the plans, sweeping the area, and making art in it has been so fun!! It is just the best space ever!!

this is such an original idea ! completely unexpected, but it turned out super lovely and i applaud your creativity. just one question though, what will you do when it rains ? isn't it going to ruin the space somehow, like the wooden shelves and the chairs ?

First, thank you so much!! Secondly, I also had some worries on how things would hold up. To combat this I tried my best to use wood that was "finished", meaning it had some sort of clear coating over it that would protect the actually wood. For the pieces that weren't finished I tried to use them in areas where it would be easy to swap them, out once they DID start to deteriorate a little. This includes the bordering which will get a ton of wear from being on the floor, as well as the shelves which were super easy to make and won't be to hard to replace. Everything else though should hold up really nicely!! As for the patio furniture, its made of this really durable thick sort of rubbery plastic that is made for outdoor use so I have high hopes for that too!
