In this video I show you how I made a very simple but great looking hand painted sign. You don’t need any painting skill for this project. I will show I made a custom template for this and used it to paint the wood. Anyone can make this project. I also had a little help from my amazing wife for this project.

Great video on several levels. My wife and I enjoy seeing other couples having fun doing projects together. We applaud your wife and her painting abilities. The final result was simple yet elegant. Very nice. If I may be so bold to suggest something that can make these projects even easier? We have zero talent in drawing and like you, we use images from the computer, the only difference is that in our projects requiring drawing, I purchased a mini projector from Amazon for $40. I make the image like you and then I project the image onto the surface and trace it right there. Unlike printing, I need only to adjust the projector to make the image larger or smaller to fit exactly. I hope I have not offended with such a suggestion as that is not our intent. We look forward to watching more of your projects.

Thank you very much! I appreciate the comment. The projector is such a great idea! thanks for mentioning it. No offense taken at all. I love getting better at the craft and learning new ways to accomplish things. While cutting the letters out worked, the projector idea seems like it would be much more efficient! I appreciate it. 👍
