I know how you feel on loving to write things down on pen and paper. I text and go on social media a lot, but when it comes to assignments and essays, I love writing them with a pen and on paper. It just feels a lot more satisfying to me
Min 8:28 exactly!! Me too! As much as phones and other devices have calendar options, that will never replace my good ol' planners. That is something I purchase every year without fail and I'm so excited about this idea. Thanks as usual for sharing your creativity with us!! God bless you, my friend.
This was fabulous because it's exactly what I want. I hadn't realized that Avery had the pages in that size available. Printing all of the pages myself had always been one of the drawbacks for me in creating my own planner. This solves that and I can still decorate it my own way. I love this. Thanks so much for making this video.
This is probably the most inspiring and best planner "planning" video I've watched so far. I am having your same issue currently; finding something I like but it being too expensive or something affordable that doesn't have what I want in a planner. Thank you so much!
I was able to use my electronic calendar, reminders etc as long as my schedule was very regular and work was very contained at work so I was able to have my work planning at work and home planning separate. When my schedule changed and work and home were much more intertwined, I needed to go back to my old daytimer/dayrunner binder planner to keep everything straight. The binder is still holding up well after a lot of years of use and I just love customizing the calendar pages and making my dividers from pretty paper etc. I don't decorate the calendar pages really, because to me that makes it complicated, but I like having the inside look a bit spiffier than the v plain calendar pages. I find the 5.5x8.5" size great. Not too big outside and not too squished inside. Thanks for sharing the materials that you used and how you put your planner together.
I've watched several diy planner videos and yours is the best! Simple and affordable! And, super cute! I'll be making one tomorrow! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this video, it is exactly what I am looking for along with my own ideas. The Binder I bought is a small ring, regular size, so it is a bit larger than yours, but I also have a smaller one I will make to bring along with me when I go out. I have a lot of sections I want to put in my larger one like Quotes I want to remember, Daily Memories, Menu Planning, Recipes I want to try, The 4 Seasons and different Activities with Pictures, Bible Scriptures and Prayers, Prayer Requests dated and answered, etc. Thanks again for making this video, Much Blessings and Happy Planning!
What a fantastic, creative idea! I just purchased an expensive planner, but am going to use your idea and create a journal for myself. So happy I found your video!
Wow!! This was a great and simple tutorial! I've been looking for a new planner and just couldn't find one that I like. You have inspired me to just make my own! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for making this planner! This is exactly the type of tutorial DIY video I've been searching for in regards to making my own planner. I've tried doing it myself but just wasn't satisfied with the results, and almost relinquished a lot of money toward one of the high-end "life planners" that honestly, I can't afford right now. So thank you! I'm off to make my own now
I was thinking of buying a planner but this is sooo much better, especially since you can pretty much do whatever you want with it and design it however you like. Thank you so much for this idea.
Thank you so much! I have been having such a hard time finding the "perfect" planner for me but didn't know where to start for making my own. I'm so excited!
Loved your video so much that I went out and made my own. The only downside is that these binders aren't the easiest or best to regularly travel with, I already have a regular schedule and daily planner that I take with me everywhere. Instead, I use this one for my budget, menu, glucose monitoring, and home management. It's working out great. Thanks again for posting. Hope to see more videos on how you use your planner.
Thank your for this DIY! Ive been looking for a diy planner and all the other tutorials Ive seen on YT have been way more complicated than this one. Love it!
I just did this to a mini binder and I love it!! Unfortunately none of the walmarts or targets in my area had the planner pages in stock so I had to order them online, but to save money from shipping I'm having them sent to the store so I can just pick them up. Thank you so much for this video! I'm so excited to put everything together and start planning away!
Thank you so much for sharing!! I love a great planner and I spend so much time trying to find the perfect one and I never thought to make my own, LOVE IT! I will be doing this very soon!!
Is absolutely love love love this video! I'll have to shop around for different filler paper with a weekly layout. I use mine as a planner/journal so I need lots of day to day space. Thank you for sharing! I would love to see how you decorate the inside 😻
roseanna bejosano Thank you! I'm happy you loved the video. I just posted a follow-up decorating video :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sg4muKo_D6Y.html
OMG! I was looking for a video like this just a few days ago! I want to have a planner that's small & I can REALLY DIY it & make it my own without having to spend crazy money for one! Thank you for making this video. Going to try this for next semester.
really happy i came across your channel. i took a note on the things u used for your planner. you gave me a great idea to design my own planner. i have been trying to do this for ages...and now that i have 2 school age girls and a toddler to keep up with even tho i have it all on google i am a visual person and i love to write it down, i just can't never find the perfect one so why not make it...thanks again :-)
i saw your video and i absolutly loved it!!! I made my own and its my fav item in my purse! Also made one for a friend once she saw mine and loved it and used a really cute gift bag i found at Target on clearance for her cover turned out amazing!
Thank you for this video!!!! I've been looking for a planner for a few months now but the ones I like are ridiculously expensive for my budget. Then I thought, I'll just make one of my own but I needed some idea to get me started! And this helped a lot! :) Thank you once again! :)
Love this idea!! I've been enjoying my planner this year but saw these Avery items and cute little binders at Target the other day and am thinking of doing this next year! :)
Thx for giving me such an awesome inspiration cuz I really wanna make one but the other d.i.y. videos are diffrent and this one is the best!! Thank you very much !
What a creative video this is!! Thanks for all the really great ideas on creating my own planner. Yours turned out so beautiful. I hope mine comes out as nice. I am going to make one that is just for Christmas type projects. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas! ; )
I just did this myself too but I didn't think of buying paper to decorate the covers!! Can u do an update on how you like yours and how u decorate or organize your pages :)
I found this video and was so excited, I went to Office Max and bought some of the stuff and I would need to make my own planner and also to Michael's to get the stuff to decorate my planner, thanks so much for the video. My planner will be my Christmas gift from my husband, he let's me choose what I want so this year I wanted a new planner but wow the price tags were expensive and this planner is way personal and what's better is I created it myself. Thanks again.... Sheila from WV.
Wow love ur video that was the first watching one! I enjoyed it thanks for sharing how did u hold the pen pouch in the side of ur planner? I love stationery too :) i collect pens, pencils, papers etc..
Hey Erisa thanks so much for the great idea! I love this! Does the pocket on the inside of the binder create a lumpy surface to write on, or is it that not a problem for you?
It kind of did with the first few pages, but after a while as you dive into the other months, it hasn't been an issue :) It also depends on what you have in there so I try to keep it pretty flat. Xo
I def have to try this. I've been on the lookout for a great planner, but it's between it's too expensive or I don't like the look of it. I told my husband about wanting to buy a planner and his response was,"Isn't that why you have your phone?". I told him that I still love to write things down and prefer it that way. I want to be able to flip through pages and add things...not just put things on a calendar.
Oh my gosh, I totally agree with you. I'm really big on making to-do lists and stuff. I always try to keep a little notebook and pen with me in my purse.
I absolutely love the way yours came out! So cute! I may need to do this! I recently ordered a planner from a custom planner site, but I love this idea so much more! Where did you get your pens? (the ones you stored in the plastic pocket) They're so cute! :) THank you for posting this!
