DIY How to Cook Eggs in a Wheelbarrow for 3 Dollar

Lol,I wanted to have it rendered before I could go to sleep. I had in the past several times I made one and let it on the computer for the next day,and for some reason computers and I don't mix 100 % lol And I had to start all over

Hahaha no, wheelbarrow are expensive lol,but I wouldn't thought this would work. I still need the wheelbarrow as you can see,there is still some work to do in the garden .

Its a nice addition to know it works,its give some future options. It was actually just a experiment that I tried while working in the garden. With 74.3 Fahrenheit outside it still worked,but be careful the pot was still hot to touch.

A few years my yard was one big mess when I bought it,and the soil was very sandy. Took a few years to get it better and in the meanwhile growing the plants in the greenhouse till it was ready to plant outside

Thank you very much for all your kind words Jessica, The wheelbarrow was a experiment that happened to turn out pretty well,and gave me ideas to think about in the future. The garden is a work in process, slowly it gets his form It's a small garden,that was neglected for 50 years,the gazabo is one of the feature's that I wanted as a vocal point. After a few years ,the plants that are on the opposite part of the garden ,that are growing,and if they are big enough,I can plant them around the the gazabo. hahaha yes i have to admit,it is easy to slide my feet in them and go outside for a moment: This was actually a experiment that i wanted to do for a very long time,with our weather conditions and the temperature,i wasnt sure it would work. But as you can see,it turned out very well,i have already other projects in my mind because of it. Hope your doing fine my friend,and that everything is back to normal,more or less. Atb Steve

Hi Debs,you can certainly use it in my opinion,the heat is transferred to the cooking pot. But it is a slow cooking system,double your time and it would be ok

If its a dish that takes a longer time,like a stew or something,you can use the wheelbarrow to adjust the position towards the sun. Good luck,👍

I let the cook pot in the sun,While I was working on the garden,. And once a while I was curious how hot the pot was and almost burned my fingerslol. II presume it was boiling at that point. And it was only 23 degree Celsius or 74.3 Fahrenheit

Whahaha dat zou idd nogal wat zijn zo'n houtstoof, De eitjes waren perfect eigenlijk,geeft toch wel opties naar de toekomst om te experimenteren. Eigelijk simpel en effectief om te gebruiken. Ben idd eindelijk terug,temperaturen terug normaal en veel groen. Terug bushcraften 😁

I'm pretty sure it would work. The idea is to bundle the solar beams to a spot. In this case the camping cooking pot. I didn't had any idea how long it would take,but after 30min the water temp was very hot. Boiling the egg ,I started with tap water,to see how long it would take.

Hey Hans,ze hebben er bijna 3 uur in het water gelegen. Het was buiten 23 graden en eigelijk laat op de dag opgesteld. Koud kraantjeswater ,dat naar mijn idee wel wat langer gaat duren ,als het al zou lukken uiteraard. En omdat ik in de tuin aan het werken was,wat de tijd vergeten en langer in de kookpot laten liggen. Maar het werkte beter dan ik had verwacht.

Hi Lola,this is maybe something you can use as well. It was actually later in the day then the clock showed. When I got everything and eventually had it done outside was it 16 minutes past. It was 23 degree Celsius or 74.3 Fahrenheit,not the best conditions. But is was experimental,the water was cold water from the tap. If you take water on room temperature it would speed up the process. I let it in the sun for almost 3 hours,I actually forgot time because I was working in the garden ,lol The plastic bag is a heat resistance bag , to put a chicken in before you put it in the oven. It has a greenhouse effect that way,wind can't cool your pot down like that. Take a thin walled and dark coloured cooking pot to absorb the heat better,a other kind of pot will work as well but takes a little longer,what I read 15 to 25% longer. Advances of this system is,your food never attention ,it can't burn,because it's slow cooking. You put some stew in the garden,go to the store ,come back and it's done. But don't get fooled,this pot is really hot,I felt it ,and it was already cooled down but still hot to the touch.
