I finally got around to installing the Mevotech Heavy Duty TTX front control arms on my Ram. Its a super easy install takes about a 45 minutes to an hour. It looks super cool and it drives way better with those new ball joints. I cant wait to take it off road and see how it does. Review coming in a few months!

it's mevotech ttx, looks nice but made in china. Good thing the lower arms takes all the forces

I did Zone upper control arms and TTX lowers with bilstein 5100’s on my 2006 ram. I just put the TTX’s on yesterday and had an alignment done today. Hopefully I can hit some trails tonight and put everything to the test.

@@TheRealNolanStyles hey I was thinking of doing the same setup. Curious if the zone’s are necessary for the bilstein lift for my ‘08. I don’t think these TTX’s have the improved ball joint angle that the zones do? I don’t think @Carfleet needs them because he probably got bigger knuckles with his lift. Any ideas?

@@TheRealNolanStyles ya I hear ya. My concern is the ball joint angle after the lift. My 08 can only get 2” from the bilstein, so maybe it isn’t necessary, but some people say it is, cause the ball joint limits full droop. I haven’t heard of any other than zone that improves the angle. And my stock uppers are toast, and need replacing anyway. So I thought I might go ttx both upper and lower, or zone upper and ttx lower.

Installed a set of mevotech ttx’s on my Colorado yesterday. They fit extremely nice for the money! Hope they last a while!!

Aren’t you supposed to tighten the 2 top bolts with the arm level then you pry it down and tighten the ball joint and then let the truck down before you torque the 2 top bolts

Did the seal on the upper ball joint leak out grease? I just got the same setup and I’m having that problem.

all greaseable ball joints "leak" grease, that's the point. Every oil change pump in 1-2 pumps of grease and push out the old dirty stuff. You have to regularly grease ball joints that have a grease fitting. If it doesn't have a grease fitting then it's a sealed ball joint and won't leak grease

yeah super bummed, their quality has declined. They use to have 2 different part number options for parts, one being CK (value) and the other being RK (Problem solver) which I dont see much anymore. @@TurnThemWheels

The garage put my new arms on the wrong friggin sides 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️.. they were wondering why they couldn't get the caster adjusted properly 🙄

TTX upper ball joints I don't recommend. The boots have a breathing hole and when you try filling the Ball joint all of the grease comes out of the breathing hole

I think Mevotech is more expensive than F150 OEM Motorcraft and is of worse fitting

It's absolutely not as expensive as OEM. Those are $80 and a OEM would be atleast $150.

@@nastysoda9212 ya I think they use Detroit Axle to make all there parts. That's what ya just bought. Well sorry Fiat. Fiat makes the parts with Stallantis.

@@nastysoda9212 did you know that. I work for a company that does business with the Big 3. I was sick when I figured out the factory parts where just coming out of Gabriel Boxs and goin into acdelco gold boxs and the same for other parts. Movtech is put in a Pression parts box and sold as the top of the line at Orileys. $20 ball joint stuck in another box and price goes up to $100.
