I can't believe how cute everything is! The buckles will be so cute on those suspenders and belts, and I love bow ties...reminds me of college: I had a professor who always wore one. In fact, my best friends husband always wears one! And those buttons are unbelievable. Too cute!

I have been doing this for miniature horses since my childhood, Daisy Stalls on RU-vid makes the most intricate, tiniest saddlery I've seen and she's well worth watching for saddlery, clothes and landscapes in 1:18th (usually) scale. She works with real leather and knows her stuff about skiving and shaping leather to make boots and shoes in miniature as well as the horse equipment and even builds stables. She's a lovely young person too and is so friendly and helpful, her name is actually Josefine but the channel is Daisy Stalls, she's a hugely talented miniaturist. Loving your buttons which Jolene highlighted in her video on Cal, Miss Margo's son. We have such a lovely community here, everyone should go and watch Josefine as she's so talented for such a young person, the 'horse' miniaturists are not sort of included in the general miniature community, it's a shame because there's so much cross over and some amazingly talented people.

These are the details that allow your dolls to really express themselves! The buttons and suspenders are SO CHARMING! And kudos to your daughter for selecting buckles for embellishments. That's one of those things I wouldn't think to look for to buy but wish I had during creation time. So many applications for them. 🥰✨

I love that the strips of leather fit without measuring. I'm so bad at measuring that I tend to get better results by "what looks right". I guess measuring tiny things by eye comes with practice! Great job on the men's accessories- we mustn't forget the men! 😊

Buttons galore! Maybe cut the ends of leather, ribbons, etc to a V shape then tread it though, and trim it straight again. And boy, you can really cut straight with that scissors! I can't even 'menstraigtht' anymore 😂

Hello Gretchen, the tiny buttons are so cute, I love the spotty bow ties, and the belt and braces look great ( we call them braces in the UK, suspenders are what hold ladies stockings up over here lol) your dolls are so well dressed, you never miss even the tiniest detail. Have a lovely rest of the week. Best wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊

I needed blue suspenders so I got thin elastic and painted them with blue acrylic paint and added the temu buckles and it turned out great. The buckles fit perfect and I was really surprised the paint worked and didn't come off. Thank you for the video. I always look forward to them.

More fun accessory and details! If you ever decide to add a mini farm - those buttons are perfect pig snouts! LOL! 🐽 🐷🐷🐽. I guess my childhood in the country is ever-present! And, I must tell you - my husband, whose family of origin was from the south, calls suspenders “galluses.” I had never heard that word before until I met him! He actually wears them almost everyday too! I sure thought of you yesterday, Gretchen… I happened on a sale that was an ENTIRE 2 story house FULL vintage dollhouses, dolls/families and furnishings, along with other vintage toys (farms, fire engines, train sets, etc.) and over 2000 (!) dolls of every variety, size, etc! Most had their original outfits from head to toe! If not, they were in darling vintage clothes! There were also countless baby strollers, buggies, prams, tables, chairs, appliances, suitcases, etc. etc. Most dolls still had their original boxes as well! Everything was in wonderful condition! There were vintage doll-making supplies too. Jars and boxes of of eyes, arms, legs, elastic, threads, strings, paints, brushes, hair, etc. There were 60+ vintage dollhouses of various sizes, makers and varieties - and all fully furnished! There were also vintage dollhouses in their original boxes - never having been opened! From kits to cardboard houses to tin houses and more! I have never seen anything like it in my life!! I bought several things - could have easily spent thousands if I didn’t want to eat for weeks and months! LOL! Prices were pretty reasonable overall too! Maybe, best of all, this sale will resume later this month where they will be discounting everything left on the last day! Yes, I AM going to go then, for sure! I hope to find even more treasures then! The elderly couple who collected, restored and repaired vintage toys, etc their whole lives (!) passed away last year in their 90’s! The house was so full, there were times it was truly hard to navigate from room to room! They only let in 4 people at a time and you had to book your time in advance! Unbeknownst to me, the sale had been going on for 3+ weeks (at scheduled times) and yet … there was SO MUCH still to buy and THEY’RE STILL UNPACKING MORE TO PUT OUT TO SELL!! She said they’ve sold hardly any dollhouses - just a few!?! Most people have been buying dolls, trains, doll furniture, etc. Another amazing thing … you could buy a dollhouse with all of its furniture, or without its furniture or you could buy pieces of furniture and accessories out of ANY dollhouse!! IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE! I felt like I was dreaming! I spent 3+ HOURS there and could have spent all day, easily!! Just had to share! Wish you had been there! ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Kathleen

You've been working sooo hard getting everything together for "The Big Day"!! While the newlyweds are away I do hope you're able to get some much needed rest. It seems planning and implementing a mini wedding requires just as much effort as a life sized wedding!! Everything you've been creating is so sweet and perfect for the time frame and the whole aesthetic of the houses and the all the dolls who live in them. It's all so beautiful and amazing!! I haven't been able to follow as close the last couple of weeks, I've had some flare ups in my body and I haven't had nearly enough energy, or "spoons" as those of us with similar issues use as an analogy, to do much else but try to recharge lol 😂. In last week's video you remarked that you've been so accustomed to making due with the bits and pieces you had available and sometimes forget you now have the items to make things without having to piecemeal things together. You've really grown in so many ways since you began your journey just a couple short years ago and my goodness!!...just LOOK at ALL that's been provided!!! Thank you for pushing and striving to make your channel such a welcoming, warm, safe, and calm space to be. ❤️❤️

YES l truly can confirm a miniature wedding is just as involved and time consuming as a life size wedding! Especially when you are making everything plus "Guests" 🤣😂😅! Definitely take care of yourself ☺️ and get your needed Rest as well! You're Kindness has meant more than l can explain 🥹💝💖💝🥲💝💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

What you call suspenders Gretchen we call them braces here, love those cute little buttons, and a good tip for the buckles, if you use the thin ribbon cut the into a point, it should help to thread it through, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧

So cute! I need to make some buttons soon. And bow ties too lol! When I work with thread or thin fabric I add a thin layer of tacky glue to the material to make it more workable. Put a small blob on your finger and just run it between your fingers and let dry

Wow, buttons, bows and buckles, all so cute and cleverly done! When you mentioned 3mm width for those teensy buckles, I immediately thought of standard width quilling paper. We all know you can use the quilling technique for making dishes, vases, pots, etc., but this might be an additional use for the paper, which comes in all kinds of colors including various shades of browns and black. There are even specialty papers that have a shiny sheen to them. Anyway, really enjoyed the video, I'd like to try those buttons especially. I'll have to wait though, I'm currently helping my 93-year-old mom move into the same senior housing I live in up in Marquette. She's downstate in Roscommon, so it's going to be a long haul for two old ladies! But I want you to know that even though I'm way behind on my RU-vid channels, yours is the only one I consistently watch. I really enjoy your channel, thanks!🙂💕

Yes definitely try those buttons they really changed the game for me. I'm so glad Nessie of Nessie Monster Crafts told about the technique! YAY!!! MICHIGAN!!! Those buttons are so tiny. The men love belts and suspenders, will there be a leather shop in the community for them and wallets? We used to have a shoe repair shop that also fixed leather goods. Tommy was a wonderful deaf man here that had learned that skill and had his own business until he died. It seemed like he could mend anything.

I have a bunch of dolls I have to dress soon, so this was timely and helpful. I love the button idea. Just FYI, the video seemed to have a glitch toward the end with the bow ties. Photos only and even a partially blacked out screen. Could be my ad blocker. (Even though I pay RU-vid to avoid ads, they still punish me with poorer service.) But as it could be on your end, thought you'd want to know.
