Here's a DIY solution I came up with for the floor of my Project M camper that I spent $40 on..
Modular (easy removed)
Rugged (industrial strength), but adds
Comfort (walking on, kneeling etc)
Easily cleaned...waterproof (wash, sweep, wipe, vacuum, etc)
Stays in-place
Adds significant insulation
Protects the truck bed - shock absorption
Easily fix damage
Affordable

That's a great idea, I still use my truck bed as a truck bed so this is much better than a bedrug. Also, these workout mats will provide great insulation from the cold.

Bed rugs does not stain and cleans up real easy. Mine has been down for 12 years. No mold at all.

Dude - that is way too easy and cheap! And I am ordering some now for my new truck. Seriously good idea. I may even try double-sided tape to put it on the sides of mine to keep cooler/warmer when camping with it. But like that when I am using it to haul stuff, can easily pull it off the bed floor. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome, and yes this would work well for the bed sides also....I had considered what you are suggesting, but using velcro adhesive strips.

how is it on your knees, I see they have different thicknesses , a lot cheaper then the mat I was going to get, even the 1" ones and 100% easier to clean. Brilliant

Great video thanks! Question - I gotta think these 1/2" foam puzzle mats sink into the ridges of the truck bed. Any thoughts on cutting 1/4" thick strips of plywood first, setting them into the ridges with an adhesive, and then setting down the foam puzzle mats? I haven't done this yet so curious what you think. Thanks!

The ridges actually don't present much of an issue as the foam mats somewhat neutralize them. They do form a bit to the ridges which seems to help secure them more into place. On my truck, I wouldn't want to adhere plywood to the bed as I spent alot of time restoring it, but to each their own. Long story short, I don't really notice the ridges much with the foam. How easy/fast is it to remove the topper? I have two trucks and am still deciding on something like a project m or a slide in camper. I am just assuming it would be easier to swap between trucks with a slide in camper.

It's fast. Just 6 bolts, and lifting with the camper jacks

I agree, a bed rug is nicer looking. These mats are inexpensive, easier to clean/replace and are a good insulator. They are also comfortable. I would put down a throw rug to spruce up the appearance.
