PART 1 - • DIY Pannier Rack - Par...
Hello and welcome,
In this video series I will show you how to build a DIY pannier rack / luggage rack for your motorcycle. I am using the Touratech Endurance Click Pannier Bags in this case.
Here I am showing you how to build the pannier rack itself, by attaching the frames to the motorcycle.
Feel free to ask any questions below! :)
Please note that all of this is done on your own risk and that the pannier rack itself is legally regarded as part of your luggage. So you are responsible for the safety. Welding is only to be excecuted by authorised personal only. Welding is always done on your own risk.

I love how you make and take your motorcycle to an adventure, showing the world you don't need an ass-expensive BMW GS1200 to have fun. Keep it up!

Found your video looking for ideas for my Aquila 125 s, as you well said it’s difficult to find what you built how you wanted, all I can say is well done and thanks for your detailed two videos about it!

Thank you for your work. I'm wondering if you could carry a passenger with the paniers in place?

You're welcome! No, not on this small bike. But on bigger bikes you will be able to carry a passenger :)

Good work Sir! Not sure if its been said, but if you drill a vent holes where ever the next tube welds onto the main hoop you will only have one exposed vent at the end of the project and make that one vent hole at the lowest point to prevent water from pooling in the tubing and promoting future rust. just a few tips not saying your way doesn't work.

I'm about to fabricate pannier racks myself did you think about making it from aluminium or is it not suitable.
@buildfromsketch8102
@buildfromsketch8102 Год назад
Hey there! Well 6061 aluminum for example would be just fine for that. The main downside to this is, that you need an AC TIG-welder for that - which i don't have, so for me this wasn't an option. I'm also assuming that the aluminum would be more expensive...

@@buildfromsketch8102 sorry i assumed your tig was ac/dc tig. I do weld ally more than any material. I was just looking at stainless steel but thats expensive.

@@rolandsmith2141 Oh no problem! In this case go ahead with aluminum, sounds great! Yes, buying stainless steel is crazy expensive...
