I would just like to mention that the only things I think you did wrong were that you disturbed the active termites and said it would have a 8 years barrier any company wouldn't give more than a 5-year guarantee.The concentration of the chemical was a bit low (example)in 200 litres you put 1 liter of fipronil meanwhile we put 1.2 liters and our fipro in also 10 percent meanwhile yours was 9.1 also I would like to mention on a barn like that you would have to use at least 400 litres of diluted chemical also our injecting rods go deeper than 6 inches and we do trench with the rods apart from that I think you did a excellent job and I was quite impressed by how you did it.

You can spray fipronil on bare or porous wood too, it soaks in and if drywood termites eat the wood, they die. It also controls Asian beetle infestations.

My home is made out of concrete, bricks and cement. My neighbors share walls with me and there are no earth/soil around the perimeter. Just asphalt and pavement, so it is impossible to dig a trench around the house. What is the best way to get rid of the termites inside the house? I suspect the termites got into my house on wings... in the form alates. How do I get rid of them?

i was thinking of making bait stations with carboard and soda bottles to kind of seal the top but not the bottom. and soaking the carboard in the diluted mix of Taurus sc. idk im still thinking about it.

That sounds cool. I read somewhere they just approved fipronil for indoor non soil use.

Does this technique only create a barrier? What about the active termites higher up in the barn? And is this only effective for subterranean termite species?

Yes subterranean only. The ones up in the wood travel back and forth to the colony and through the poison and die.

Fipronil also treats bare wood. It soaks into the wood and when drywoods eat it, they die. I've sprayed this stuff all over my house and on my unvarnished wood furniture.

I use Bifen I/T. But its good for killing ants, carpenter bees, anything that eats wood.

Great video! Have you heard of BioAdvanced 700350A Termite Killer Home Perimeter Treatment Ready-to-Spread Granules? It does not require digging; just sprinkle and water. Do you think it is as effective as fipronil?

You can use this around your house. It may have been approved for interior use now as well!

Ha! I had safety glasses on and heavy chemical gloves on while mixing and handling the chemicals. I am guilty on the crocs though. Ha!

I don’t think so but didn’t research that very well as mine are clear. This is the same stuff used by the big companies trenched around most houses in the US so Idoubt it.

OK for flowers/ornamentals. Do not use in vegetable garden or on fruit trees. Does not kill plants. It is a termiticide, also kills other commercial and household pests such as ants and cockroaches.

It’s the generic version but still not cheap! Ha! No license required anymore bought in this bear bottles. Good for 8-10yr. Doing the house perimeter next!

RidgeLife Yeah I do Termite treatments and I use Termidor cause they provide a warranty Incase a retreat is needed and you are right it’s not cheap lol Have you ever done the bait station before some homeowners go with that option it’s interesting how they work

Fipronil is amazing. Why would you want it banned? Has there been any human deaths from it when used properly?

Ha! I think hydrogen cyanide is a little more dangerous even when used properly than fipronil. Check out the MSDS for fipronil. Fairly harmless is most situations.

I am a beekeeper and have colonies within 20yds of this barn where I treated profusely. All bees were fine for the following year. Now, I guess if I poured it on them... Ha!
