Sand the winch and apply a rust primer than top coat of a metal spray paint. Another option on the 4” pipes to create the angle, use 45° joints instead. Heating the pipes weakens the pipe. I have tried to figure out how to convert my UT to haul my Kayak. Mine is a sit inside 12’. Actually your kayak doesn’t sit all that high. I have seen quite a few that have more space below the kayak for hauling ice chest and other gear.
Nice video! I have the orange Jonny Boats Bass 100 and a 5x8 trailer, so this video is perfect for what I need! Which 4" PVC pipe did you use? Is it necessary to get the Schedule 40 pipe? Or did you use the standard sewer and drain pipe which is a little bit cheaper? Thanks for the help!
