That's amazing! I actually made one of these but it was unfortunately way too small to even be a pinky ring but not nearly as detailed as you. The charcoal epoxy is genius! Gorgeous work!

Love this. What is done to the ring to keep it protected from getting rusty again? I have come across this issue when I used a zinc coated hex nut and not a stainless or other non corrosive metal.

Amazing work! I have a question though, how would you keep that ring from rusting? Oh also with the epoxy charcoal mix you can make different colors by using cosmetic pigments which you can usually buy at different places in bulk.

That's a great idea! :) I did nothing to it for rust and as now it's like new :) I guess rust isn't really a problem if you don't forget it inside a bucket of water xD

Does that mean that in theory I can take copper or gold or something, shred it a bit and crush it to do that with for a ring?

Yeah sure you could mix epoxy with metal dust, but I never tried, don't know how it would look like :)

Thank you! :) The best way would be to start with the right size bolt and make the hole your size! I don't think a ring stretcher-reducer would do the job :)

The surface finish should make it a tiny bit more resistant to rust and by wearing it you naturally protect it with oil and stuff like that.! Obviously it will become a piece or rust again if left in water! xD As now mine has zero rust on it :)

Thansk!! :) So far I had no rust problem, the polishing should help preventing rust, and I guess by wearing it gets oiled and such :') I say it's fine as long as you don't leave it in water!

Depends on the size you are looking for :) let's say you use an M8 nut, once you grind the thread you'll be around 10mm right? If you have a caliper and some nuts I guess you can figure out the appropriate one :)

Yep some alloy tend to color skin, like copper makes you greenish :'D To avoid that apply some trasparent nail polish on the inside of the ring, that way your skin is protected :) I do that all the time with coin rings :)

It was a really old M8, much thicker than the one you can fine on the store these days :) But even normal ones would work just as well, in fact I ended up grinding most of the nut away xD
