Nothing better than doing manicure and watching lawn care video 🤣 i still don't have a scaryfier so won't do it this year but I am preparing for spring. Still have grass seeds from your shop and fertiliser.

Hi! (Guy with a garden he didn't look after last winter that now makes me sad when I look at it) Would really appreciate some feedback, cheers 👍 I've just purchased the glg all American dark for the purpose of overseeding. The fertiliser I've bought is A1 Lawn Granular grass pre-seeder. On the bag it states you can also use it for overseeding, so long as you wait until 2 weeks after the initial germination. I've noticed on one of your previous how to videos you overseed AND put fertiliser down before composting, so I was wondering if I would be OK to simply scarify/aerate, overseed, and then put compost down before watering. (In essence treating fertiliser stage as a secondary job only afterwards)

I have von 2in 1 scarifier and blades are bend not straight does that make it any worse for scarfing? Also should blades be sharp?

It's great just don't let the battery go to 0! Make sure to charge it up if storing for a long period so it doesn't run completely flat

After watching many videos like this I tried to give it a go and now I think I have destroyed the grass (didn't see any groves for new seed to sit in lol). My thinking is, is because it is just grass into dirt if that makes sense so next spring I think I will rip up the ground, lay soil then turf so it has a proper bed to sit on.

Yes. It could be best to hire a professional for this stuff as you get the result you want rather than spending money on tools and then destroying the grass and having to returf it. I'm at the point where I may just pave / patio my garden areas lol. I don't actually care about a garden. I just hate something that looks like a mess and don't think grass will ever look like how I want it to, especially when it just gets dug up each night by animals.

Scarifying is best done lightly twice a year, so you make have just gone too deeply (easily done). Perhaps you could scarify again in April /May (lightly) and overseed. Much cheaper than returfing.
