Fabulous idea. 👍🏻 PU car panel adhesive/mastic will stick the rubber sheet to the glass. Ideally fit the glass(es) while skinning the roof but Gemma & Simon will have their ways of getting it done.

In reducing your monthly expenses, you do so by building a shed with hard work, making jokes, and smiling, which still produces pure entertainment for your subscribers. It will be neat to see the electrical and light work installation. Tool and equipment layout I think will surprise us as you both make the best use of your available space. You both keep getting better and better behind and in front of the camera.

Great work as usual, you two! Since there are no side windows, maybe you could add in some simple, scrap wood framed, Plexiglas (or is it Perspex in the UK?) windows under the eves in the space between the rafters, as that area seems to be letting some nice light in (since they haven't been closed up yet)?

It looks great. May I suggest that installing something like corrugated tin on top of the rubber roof would give years of service. The sun would eventually affect the rubber if left uncovered. However, that can be left for a little later on when you have more time and resources

i recently made a 3m square shed, when it came to the door I had just one bit of OSB left, just the right size, and no studding left, so my door became a sliding door, placed on some stainless steel angle iron at the bottom, and trapped by a couple of bits of wood at the top- works like a charm, and doesnt require any extra space for the door to open (other than about an inch inside)

You did put the gutter on the low side of the roof didn't you? Difficult to tell on the videol, only the water won't run up hill don't you know, lol. The port hole idea sounds good, I remember one time on TV, I think it was George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, someone had used washing machine door glasses for portholes, they were brilliant, cost nothing and easy to install providing you could cut a round hole. Just a thought! The Valentines Day comment was right on my wavelength, still sniggering! Best wishes, John

now the thing that is mildly amusing is that no one called the bizzies, i remember a little story years ago, my friends who lived up your neck of the woods, were telling of relatives and their kids playing with tennis balls, bouncing off the walls, but a couple of them got caught in the gutter, so one of the boys who could climb, shimmied up the drain pipe, one of the old cast iron types, he got to the top, got the balls down and as he did so the drain pipe separated from the wall dumping him on the front lawn - he did hurt himself, but as his mum returned home could hear him shouting, 'help help, i live here' as a few passers by just laughed and left him in pain - so typical eh

@stephengentle2815
@stephengentle2815 5 месяцев назад
I looked at those for my house once, didn't end up doing it because a lot of people warn that they don't often work that well (just delays the problem, doesn't eliminate it) and can cause other issues in the meantime.
@dlfendel2844
@dlfendel2844 5 месяцев назад
@@stephengentle2815 Well, my experience says they're wrong, and especially considering the difficulty of access to the gutter on the shed since it is back there against the neighbor's fence, I'd put them on even if it does only delay how often you have to clear out the screens themselves (which is easier since the debris stays on the surface and can be brushed aside with a broom easily rather than having to go down INTO the gutters, etc. etc.)

It looks like when you were putting the gutter in, you had the downstream gutter on top of the upstream gutter. It should be the other way so the water doesn't have a way to flow under the seam.
