Mate I would go to a metal supplier as Bunnings charges a fortune for alloy. Look forward to seeing the completed shed.

Hey mate, love the vids. Did you build the shed yourself? I'm looking at taking on a similar project. Did you look into Best Sheds? I have a quote from them that is much cheaper than other shed places but I've read they can be harder to build - having to cut portal frame to size and drill holes etc.

Hey mate. Cheers! I looked at Best sheds and eureka sheds and ended up going with eureka, they were similar priced though. There was no cutting of framing required apart from the top hats. But there were no holes pre drilled in any of the steel. Depending on the spans, the steel thickness isn’t too drastic to work with though. Mine is just made of glorified purlins, nothing special. Hope that helps

I'm enjoying the fit out. Which state/climate are you in? The reason I ask, is that I'm wondering why you didn't insulate the shed? Did you decide it's not worth the cost or was it more just that insulation didn't make it onto your radar?

Good to hear mate! Well I wasn't doing the roof, so I figured it was a waste doing the walls when most the heat will be coming from the roof. But I might be putting in a big fan to move the air around in the summer and as for the winter, still thinking of a good source of warmth for winter, but you know what they say, the warmth is in the tools haha.

Hi mate, is the yellow tongue sitting on concrete. Id normally lift the lining of the ground but given yellow tongue is heavy, I’m thinking to rest on a timber strip to distribute the weight.

Hey mate. Yer it’s sitting off the concrete. I started out by using strips of timber like you said. But I actually ended up just using the plastic yellow tongue itself. Had a few off cuts of it, so just cut pieces of it up and put a few under each sheet. Worked a treat.

Hi there. Shed looks mint. Just a question, what screws did you use on the yellow tongue to the shed frame. Cheers
@_HACtv_
@_HACtv_ Год назад
Thanks Jacquie. A lot of metal button head screws and some heavier duty bugle screws where I mounted something on the wall.

Cool video. You should be useing safety glasses everytime you use a powertool. I would hate to see you with an eye injury...

@@_HACtv_ do you use any special software or just the regular camera software from apple

I used to use a different camera app. Mainly for 4K Timelapses. But it started bugging out, so back with the standard iPhone camera. It does just fine.

No insulation?
@_HACtv_
@_HACtv_ Год назад
Nah. But probably wouldn’t have been a bad idea. Might do the roof later though. See it goes in the summer.

@@_HACtv_ It'll be an oven in summer bro. Definitely look at some insulation, You'll also get condensation dripping off the roof sheets in winter too. Bradford Anticon should've been installed before the roof sheets went down.

The music bits are way too loud. This is a very common issue with uploaders. Can you see if you can try to keep the volume at a similar level to your vocals so we don't have to nealr yhave to mute the volume each time the music starts. It is very annoying.
@_HACtv_

Yer, sorry about that. This was an issue I had in my earlier videos. No idea what I was doing with editing videos and how different they sound on different devices. Think I’ve got it right on my later ones though. Cheers for the feedback

@@_HACtv_ Cheers bud. I appreciate the video nonetheless. I'm about to build my own shed and am looking for some inspiration for the fitout stage. I like what you did with the tongue and groove floor sheets. They are an excellent idea as they are water proof and are strong too. All you needed was insulation and that shed would be primo.
