When you take it down for another poly coat, you should route out a groove in the bottom of the door for a guide that attaches to the floor. It will keep the door from swinging when you open and close it.

Damn bro. This entire series has been a master class in just about everything. I know people tell you that you talk too much, but you know what, I prefer it. I'd rather have someone explain why, what to look out for, and how to fix a problem than to just do it and have it come out perfect with no explanation. My wife and I are about to start our journey on our land. All our kids will be graduated and we're off to build our small slice of heaven. Thank you again for all the effort you've put into this. It shows, and I for one appreciate the hell out of it. I've learned more from this whole series than in any other. Bravo dude.

I have a little tip for you to hold the door closed and open. Pick up some small stick on felt buttons and stick them on the track in position so when the door is almost closed the roller has to roll over it. Once over, it will hold it closed without a firm nudge to push it back over the felt button. I did this with mine on bathroom barn doors and it works great.

I also put a bigger, thicker stick on button on the back side, bottom of the door to prevent it from rubbing the paint and scuffing the base board.

Mine came with a bottom track, but it requires a cut groove across the bottom of the door. I found this out after the build was complete 😬

to help the wood slide easier on the table saw, give it a thorough rubbing and buffing with bees wax . that should help out

@@TKCL in my Garage you will find my silverado 4x4 L33 on nice 22s but cheap used ones. My Yukon 5.3 and My 1986 Trans Am and sold my 1970 Camaro. My first Truck was a 88 Chevy truck. My second was an 1980 Camaro. Then this list is almost all GM. The only ones was a Dodge Shadow and a Smart car. But I had Cobalt to Impalla to GTP. The only one I am going to buy next us a Corvette when I move. 3 deals with bad credits to they lost their bids on my house. Now 3 new ones are circling.... and should have info this monday comming. By the way I was given the keys to an FO RD car and I had a friend drive it to the crusher.... had to push it with my truck for the last 6 Miles. They only gave me half as I get on a chevy or a dodge of same size.

For some reason, the trim at the top of the door is bothering me. My brain says it needs to be as high as the top of the door (ie wider). -reaching up to and touching the metal. But a beautiful door and layout.

Lol that's the exact thing bothering me too. It's because I used full length tongue and groove panels in the door and the door height came out higher than I hoped.

Andrew, the barn door as is doesn't fit the house with every other door in the house white, I would go ahead & paint it white too. You already have the black hardware, but I know you won't change it but it's just an thought since you are kinda OCD and like things perfect.

No, the only reason I even installed that outlet was for code reasons. We have no plans for anything on that wall.
