Slick Willy has some awesome manly skills! I keep telling myself that I'd like to learn a little more carpentry. Now I just build something and wait for it to start falling apart so I know where to put more boards and screws.

I am sure after a year or 2 the new metal siding will weather to more closely match the original piece. Good work from the 2 of you.

You need to add a stopblock in front of endcap to prevent the door from pushing through. Especially when there is snow on the ground and have give the door an extra hard push. I would sugest a heavy-duty screw (or bolt) through the face of the drip-edge so it can easlily removed if needed.

If you got your steel from Hixwood, I noticed in their catalog that they had 2 different charcoal grays. Hopefully I get the same color when I do the other part of the house on my roof, lol.

Where did you get the kit for the door? I'm guessing Menards, but seeing as I'm planning on a shed for the new Wolfe Ridge Splitter (scheduled for October) I'd like to think about this kind of door for easy in and out. Is there a locking mechanism available too?
