2007 and up Mercedes Sprinter Van Reverse Camera/brake light install. I found this unit on Amazon. I liked how it was smaller and more discrete than the stock unit. There wasn't many reviews but then again not that many folks own sprinters. @projectsprinter
The company that makes them is www.rearviewsafety.com and Install is fairly simple. I was not able to test the camera after install. I plan to install a double din touchscreen that comes with a reverse camera video input. Hi, i have a question for you. I bought the same reversing camera and the LED module that was on the oryginal does not fit. Mercedes sprinter w 906 2011. Did you have any problems because in the movie I saw that you also did not like something. Please help.

have you hooked it up to your head unit yet? I am trying to install and didnt get any instructions included. Not sure where the power wires hook up to

Sorry I have a question about this, if the reverse camera connected to brake light, it won't work when we reserve the vehicle without using brake, and it will work anytime when we using brake?

connect the positive wire to your reverse light positive wire. when you put it in reverse, the camera will power on.

Does the camera have 3 positions of viewing? How far back does the angle of view permit of rear traffic while driving w/monitor constantly on?

How did you route the video cable to the head unit? I'm doing a massive install next weekend. Going to follow your lead and do a full backup camera, Pioneer head unit and USB/HDMI install all at once. Thanks for the videos!

Gareth Feldstein In one of my videos I believe it shows that i was able to run the video cable along the passenger upper right corner and down the A pillar. At the time i had my headliner down so it was easy. If possible test your camera and make sure you are happy with the view angle and picture quality before closing everthing up. Hope this helps

Hi there, I have purchased same exactly camera as you showing on this video. Do you know is it possible to connect this camera to original audio/video unit that comes with 2014 Sprinter? I have checked and no connection or jacks match. Is there adapters that I need to get in addition to what I have, or do I have to replace whole head unite in order to make it work? Thank you in advance.

Milorad Maus I dont know. The reverse camera has regular rca cables. My factory radio did not have the video feature so i cant comment. Good luck

I bought this cam. I haven't installed it yet, but I was curious what the power cable thing with the black and red wires is for? Is that to power the camera? I didn't see any jack where it'd plug in...

Oh, I just notices the red plug on the RCA adapter is for power and plugs into the black cable with the power leads. I guess that goes to ignition power?

Jeff Simpson most likely you will end up tapping the red and black wires to the red and black wires of the back of the radio.
