When I seen how long this video was going to be,I said I would nit watch the whole thing, but bro as soon as you started talking I couldn't stop watching good advice thanks for giving so much game bro!!!
I've thought about using DJ Event Planner but its just another expense I don't need right now, im trying to keep my expenses down. Great video man, communication is key and fast responses definately helps!
There are certainly cheaper options if that doesn’t fit into your budget. You can always check out others like DJ intelligence, gig builder etc. it’s not necessary but it help with my workflow.
I'm a newbie DJ student and Im already thinking ahead and I must say THIS is the most valuable information Ive ever received about the DJing business. Thanks alot for being transparent for the little guys out here.
John, not only is this a great video for anyone who has no business experience, it's going to spread like wildfire and bring all the DJs who watch this up to a professional level. You are raising the bar on mobile DJs!

It's in my contract that the final payment is due 30 days before the wedding and I've never had an issue with it! Glad to hear you are doing something similar.
Awesome awesome awesome! Friends always ask how I book almost every inquiry I get. I always say the same thing. COMMUNICATION!! Having gig logs to show off helps a lot too!
Really great information. This is very valuable and easy broken down steps on being better on running your company... John please keep on giving all of these great pro tips.
Thank you for this video! My problem is, I get a lot of hits on my website but very few quote request. I will add pricing to my website to see if it helps. Thanks again
@@DjWooPig i have a video request. Could you make a video giving tips or ideas on how to make setting up for a gig faster? Right now it takes me between 1 hour to 1 hour 30min.
Good advice! I use a dry erase board, and write down all quotes, appointments, bookings, and goals. I also keep the calender on my phone up to date. I've thought about sending thank you cards,or Happy Anniversary cards on thier first anniversary. I need to quit stalling & do that.
i do 40 to 50 on social media advertising i am thinking about a couple spots on the radio nobody reads the newspaper plus got business name on van i park it on some of the main streets in a parking lot so it can be used as a mobile bill board .
John great tips. Here is on that I have used for years, I make nice keychains and coffee mugs with my logo. First meeting they get the keychains and when they close the deal, or the day of the wedding/event, the get the coffee mug. Its something they use every day and they remember you.
