Thanks for the update Nobby, just got my Mini 4 at the weekend and have managed to fly a few times in between showers. It is a fantastic little drone and so far seems to fly better in the wind than my old P4 did (which I thought was weird). My first test of obstacle avoidance didn't go well as it hit a street light whilst following my daughter, it did however do a little somersault before continuing on like nothing happened but seemed to avoid everything else without issue. My RC2 is updating right now and I plan to fly it later today. Watching your videos before I purchased it really helped. Thanks :)

No I don’t think so. DJI usually release a new fly app version when a new product is launched. Sometimes there are minor issues yes. But they always fix them 👍 thanks 🙏

Did this update, would have like to use DJI Assistant 2 because I found it’s quicker but DJI have discontinued it.

They haven’t discontinued it. If you are searching by phone it won’t show up. Go to DJI download section on a PC and it’s there ready for download make sure you select consumer drone series 👍

P mode, N mode what’s the big deal, I would rather get the update which changes the RTH in tracking mode so my M4P lands wherever my controller is. I think you may have touched on this subject before mentioning how the function worked in older drones! A much more important update I believe is well overdue…what are your thoughts Nobby?😊

You need to force it to download. Check in profile- settings then check for updates. 👍

Hi Nobby Fixed old Hyperlapse issue for mini 4 pro? iOS 1.13.2 Update iPhone8+ with RCN1 with mini3pro performs Hyperlapse. iPhone8+ with 1.13.2, RCN2 with mini 4 pro has a problem! Are these “P” or “N” fixes significant? In my opinion, the problem is in the mini4pro drone software!

Can’t be the software on the mini 4 pro. They all run the same fly app. This new update and firmware has fixed a few issues with the controller too. It’s now at a faster start up speed however mine didn’t have that problem 👍

I'd been trying today, as its wet to get my Air2S to connect and noticed the update early today. So had already downloaded it. But still when I go to the connection guide it only shows the Mini4pro and Air3. But while writing this it says a New Version of DJI Fly downloaded, Restart required. Don't expect that will bring the Air2S back on my RC2. Best Dave

bricked my mini rc device had to contact dji forums kept going to black screen saying to update but i got it fixed and updated via dji assistant 2

Try going to profile settings and about. Failing that try logging out and logging back in to your account 👍

@nobby-green I assume this is a serious question? I have been a video gamer for decades and some players (quite a few!) Invert pitch controls to emulate real world flight controls because a) it's instinctively how we fly b) it is accurate to flight controls. If you go on the DJI forum there are numerous posts regarding this topic.

Hi can help. I have got a DJI RC controller with I want to use with my mini 2 the problem is that I can't get the firmware to update from v 1.13.1 to the latest v1.13.4 I have the latest one on my phone it works ok I just can't get it on the DJI RC. Have you any ideas 🤔

You can update the RC without the drone. Profile settings and check for firmware. However you cannot use it with the mini 2 👍

Thank Nobby. No “panic”, just a low threshold for manufacturers that “break” something that wasn’t broken and then take a month to “fix” it. Appreciate the update on the Fly App update. All appears to be fine so far.👍

Checked for updates on my mini 4 pro and screen shows that my firmware is up to date. However my P mode has not gone away, still on P?

That’s because it hasn’t run the update. Go to profile then settings and check in the about. Should be a red dot. Failing that you may have to sign out and sign back in. Hope that helps. Another way is to use DJI assistant 2 via the pc 👍

Sounds like your firmware didn’t update correctly. Reflash the firmware with DJI assistant 👍

@@nobby-green hello i did refrest the firmware update in the rc controller and on the drone but it still says weak signal connection between rc controller and drone and as soon as i get to 10meters it says aircraft not connected to rc what could be the case nobby.

ve been trying to update to the lastes App version on my RC2 controller for Mini 4 Pro. All very strange: It said Firmware up to date or occasionally Server Error. I noticed however the RC Firmware was V 02.02.0000 & Aircraft Firmware was 01.00.0500 BUT App Version remains 1.13.0 and not 1.13.4. Have tried updating via the DJI Assistant 2, both aircraft and RC2 not difference except on start up the RC, once connected to the drone, flashes up N Mode the changes to P Mode. Am totally flummoxed. Can anyone help please???

Have tried to update whilst the drone is connected to the RC2? Sometimes signing in an out of your account works.

Geronimo Have now got the RC2 up to V1.3.4. If anyone else has the same problem, I managed to force the App update on the RC2 by going to Profile on the home page then Settings then About and there it gave me to option if updating. The download was not obvious when selected but could be seen back on home page.

Thanks for the report Nobby! Nothing really interesting, from DJI. The end of the update description, ".....app quality" looks like preprinted in their document. The guys using the FCC Hack ,as I get it, need to reload the system again, for nothing.

U people are having an expensive life In malawi people are having those kinds of drones but they have no time for updates I've been watching dji videos about there drones, hoping that one day I will have mine so that I can build up my videography business But whats pain on me is watching someone using a drone just for fun, while I've never stop praying to God so that i maybe be blessed with even a cheapest fake drone in my life

Ok I tried this and it broke my controller 🙀 . Started and then the controller just shows device starting and the think circle just goes round and round. No matter what I do it never changes 🥹 Anyone ever had this issue??? It’s a mini pro 4 . 🥹😢

Try using DJI assistant 2. Plug into pc and reflash the firmware 👍. You can also try resetting the controller

@@chriscapune7873 swipe down twice on screen. Click the nut icon settings then system then reset options factory reset. Once done it will bring forward the latest firmware

Will try that . On my Apple laptop when I search for DJI assistant app I get no results. Now I remember that I have tried this in the past and have never been able to get or even find the DJI apps.
