I learned more from you than I did trying to watch some DJI videos on my controller, that were not in my native language and had subtitles 😳 I don't know why DJI couldn't do a better job! Hands down, the best video for beginners. Excellent. I watched more than a half dozen so-called beginner videos on this Mini 3 Pro, and none of them went through an introduction and initial setup. This was a very detailed and methodical video. Thank you for the work you've put into this.

@@OttoJulian_ I live in the southwest part of the USA with 351 days a year of extremely bright sunlight and high temperatures through most of the year, I used iPhones and iPads which are basically useless because they dim down with the heat and they’re not bright to begin with. I bought the Mavic 3 cine with the RC pro controller and fell in love with the screen it’s a thousand nits this is a lifesaver with the bright conditions I live in, I was hoping the DJI would do the right thing and make the mini 3 Pro compatible with the RC Pro controller instead Unfortunately they decided to go the route that would bring them the most profit by causing their customers have to buy additional controllers with a screen instead of just making it compatible the first time. So I bought the mini three pro with the controller with the screen I’m happy with it, I’m just not happy with having to buy an extra controller when they will make it compatible After they think they made enough profit doing it this way. I have the air 2S also my hope is someday I’ll be able to fly all three with one RC pro controller

Great, great tutorial (as usual) and a great device in my opinion. It's a pity that is so difficult to fly this devices (at least here). All are administrative obstacles to get the appropriate authorization (if any), or fly the device on a dessert (😄) Thank you Otto to be always there to show us all possibilities on handling any device.

Hi there. DJI is constantly releasing firmware updates so the time it takes will depend on that version and when people watch the video, you know, trying not to keep the video outdated right from the start. Also, the firmware update will depend on your internet connection and other factors. Took mine about 20-25 minutes total
Otto, This is a great instructional video. I have the DJI Mavic Air 2S. I just recently purchased the DJI Remote Controller RC. However, the downloadable instructions did not cover the Fly App. This video helped me a great deal. Thank you for posting this video. I look forward to viewing your other videos.

Hello, I’ve been looking for if there’s a way to change what the joysticks do. At 11:00 mins in your video, you go over what the left and right sticks do. But in video games (what I’m used to) the left stick moves forward/back and left/right and right stick would rotate. Is there a setting to swap out what the two sticks do?

Hello, I have a question that confuses me. I bought this drone second hand. Even though I reset it to factory settings, the first installation screen did not appear. (Country selection etc.) I ask this because; CE mode is valid in my country, can I switch to FCC mode by selecting another country on that initial setup screen?
It's too bad the N1 controller is hot garbage for the mini 3 unless you have apple products or ancient samsung phones. Lazy company that scams you into buying the RC controller by failing to fix issues
I’ll give this tutorial 5 out of 5 stars ❤ covered almost all features and controls. I never used Dji before and was worried about how to use it. But I feel like confident to fly it now.
Thanks for the video. Do you know why I get sunglare when i record - the video comes out dark, however when i switch to mastershots it comes out clear and colourful?
I got thru the initial set up and the drone worked fine. A month later I tried to use it and I couldn't log in so all my settings went back to default. When I try to log in it say check network. I didn't put a micro sd card in the RC controller. Is that my problem?
it shows no GPS because I am indoors and I'm not flying the drone either. You can't change your location once the drone has been detected by the GPS sats
Best thing I ever did was ditch the phone app and wires. Not that is was an issue, but the built in screen is worth every penny. More balanced and all in one package.
How does the screen work does it connect to your phones data when ur out and about so u can see the screen and were ur flying the drone any info would be greatly appriciated thank you
I bought a DJI mini 3 that came with RC-N1 that is already paired up. And I bought DjI RC controller separate. I tried to pair it up with my drone and it won’t pair it up. Do I have to unpair the RC-N1 that came with the drone first ?
Thanks. 2 questions. For the remote with built in screen: 1) Can you switch between JPG and RAW? 2) If you're near an airport and need authorization to fly there will the remote connect to the network?
The remote with the built in screen works pretty much as the regular one, and yes, you can select RAW for pics. About the connection to the network, you can connect the controller to your phone’s hotspot
Mike here again, I've just re watched you tutorial on the controller because I couldn't remember how to get back to the main screen after going in to the settings via the three dots (top right). I couldn't find an answer on getting out of settings etc. and back to the main screen. Could you please advise. Mike.
did you find it Mike? To get out of menus you usually tap on the section that is not the menu towards the left. If the menu is covering the whole screen look for a back icon on the upper left corner
thanks a lot for this video, vey useful ! when I use the tracking mode with my motorbike I put the controller in my back pack but then all buttons are pressed accidentally inside the back pack. how to avoid this ? can we lock/disable the remote buttons during tracking ? thanks
no, you can't disable them and you have to be careful about doing this because if something unexpected happens you should be able to reach out to control/stop the drone.
Yesterday i bought dji mini 3 pro combo, can you tell me the the usb c charger watt and the charging hub watt to charge the battery and rc? Because i have no adapter. I will buy it from another store.
@@OttoJulian_ I keep seeing instructions to put the aircraft into pairing mode but nobody explains how to get to that pairing mode or what the lights should look like when it's in the paring mode
