That rally must have started out as an AMA Gypsy Tour in 1924. Didn't know it's the oldest still running. The first ones were held in 1917.

Ride threw Canada..should be able to fine spots there..I've been wondering what you're doing..I'm still healing..shoulder is healing ..I can hands up don't shoot or hands up praise God..my knee is still pretty sore..I'm anxious to ride again. I think my first venture will be on beamer with side car..it takes a good bit of arm and shoulder power..to steer down the road..I love that you can take off in the woods anywhere..I think I may also get a smaller bike..royal Enfield HIMALAYAN maybe o wish they made it with a 650cc..had some work done around house will send pic..thank you Joe..enjoy the ride

I'm in northern NH. I know those back roads very well. Good choice on camping spot. Even though it's close by Laconia twice was enough for me. I like riding those back roads where few people go.

Hey Joe, hope all is good with the rest of your trip in Canada. It really was a pleasure meeting you in Shawville, QC! WOW man! All that Laconia bike traffic is impresive, a bit too much it seems like! I'll be going there someday for bike week for sure! I was able to get to Rouyn-Noranda, QC, but had to change my plans, it turned out that the road I wanted to ride on were sand (oups). Yep lol ! So I ended up going throught Pembroke then North Bay (Ontario) to end the day with some lads at the local bar in Rouyn-Noranda. A hell of a day man but it was fun. Got back home in Quebec City last night at around 10pm a long 900 km ride on sunday... ouch man that was tough. But I'm all good and well. Wish you the best, can't wait to see the Quebec video you are preparing. Have fun, ride safe and send me a text if you need some place to crash in Quebec City next time you're in town.

I rode up on my Suzuki Marauder I saw 3 others and countless other customs and imported bikes there are hundreds of thousands of bikes in every shape and form its awesome! I've never had anything but good times at bike week and never felt it was "only for harleys" its for all riders

I’ve never been to Laconia for the reason you stated, rain. Every time I go East from Ohio, I get wet, and the fronts tend to hang around for days. Ride safe Joe.

It’d be nice to carry more stuff, but it brings its own set of headaches. You got to worry about getting in and out of places, as well as the upkeep of the trailer itself.

The chickens here in Oz are usually AUD $12, (USD $8) but I often go in near closing time & score one for half price! It all helps. I'm not a fan of crowds, I avoid them like the plague.

When I saw Berlin on your map it brought back the memory of a paper mill and a 13 percent grade road. This didn't happen to me, but imagine a semi loaded with 5000 pound rolls of paper pulling up that road. The rolls of paper are lying on their side and suddenly break loose and rolling out the back. Think about that the next time you find yourself behind a truck traveling up a steep grade.

I made it there for the 100th…with two of my kids…in a Tesla Model Y. Haha…we slept in it for 8 days in “Camp Mode” running the AC out of the rain and mosquitos in parking lots stealthy. Had a great time and it was 2500 miles round trip. I think that rally is best done in a Tesla from Hertz renta car. Haha
